Well, I'm not going to bring up "the fight" because you can look that up, but there was also the game misconduct he took in Ottawa, for yapping off to the ref, which included putting the Flyers down on a 2:00, 5-on-3 which Ottawa scored and we had to fight back from. It's one of Lappy's purposes now that's he's here, and it was also a message that he was on thin ice, as noted by the fact that they made him play every preseason game. From last year to this year there is an improvement, but not from the time we got him to the end of last season. They finally found a place for him with Betts and Lappy, because before that he provided absolutely nothing.

His nickname is and always will be Lappy, and it's how he's referred to and referred as by the people who know him, both personally and as fans.

I never said that he didn't improve this year as well. I never said that he didn't make mistakes last year. I never said Lappy wasn't a good influence. I just said that he did show signs of improvement from the time we acquired him to the end of last season.

well IMO, nicknames should only be used by people who actually KNOW THE PERSON personally, not by fans.

So we're supposed to say Michael Richards and Christopher Pronger?

Well whatever his name is, his knuckles must be hurting after two fights in the same period. He's a bad-ass.

yes, thats exactly what i said

you can call them Richards, Pronger.. .whatever. i just find it stupid how fans call players who they don't even know by ther nicknames. would you call someone in you class that you didn't actually know by their nickname? of course you wouldnt. Nicknames are used by their friends, not by people that don't even know them. I wouldn't refer to some guy at school that i didnt know by his nickname

a nickname is also a truncated form of a formal name. ive noticed you used jeff carter before instead of jeffrey. if we were good friends i would call you anal retentive.

but hey thats only my opnion.

Takes a puck to a face. Gets stitched up, and loses 4 teeth, and comes back in the third. Sucks the Flyers lost, but props to Lappy.
