I think unless JDD has a bad game no. Dubnyk is not used to the speed of the nhl game, he played 1 or 2 games in preseason and has been down in the AHL most of the year. Deslauriers has been facing nhl shots all year. It's too much of a risk imo.

I'm really happy with this win. We played well for 40 but our first line outright dominated to such a degree they just took over the game.

This is a decent Coyotes team and one that limits GA.

This is really our best offensive performance of the year imo against a squad that likes to give up 2GA/game.

We got 3 in the first.

I have little trouble with taking the foot off the gas in the 3rd. Save it for another game as this baby was over.

Hemsky really took it to another level tonight but like I said earlier why does it take the callling out?

I will be at that game too. After being at the last one (oilers @ canucks) we can only look up from there. I would love to see dubnyk get his first start.

Surprised there isn't more mention of the Kevin Smith interview. Hilarious. I wonder if he was just ****tin about making a hockey movie or if its legit. That would be deadly if he filmed it here.

i think he was talking about that for a while in other interviews and its pretty legit. the location however could be something new.

My thoughts exactly. Ever since that goofy comment Bryz can't buy a win against the Oilers. Not to mention that fact that he usually looks like an AHL goalie in most of those games.

lol, and Getzlaf was chilling at the goal line. What was that about?

What a comedy of errors on that one.

The Oilers play b2b games on the weekend. They play at home against San Jose on Friday and are in Vancouver on Saturday.

Sometimes you just own another team. The Oilers own the Coyotes.

Love how Jacques starts a hockey game. He just winds it up and bee lines it right to his first intended victim and plasters them. The kid has the tools and is just starting to realize his potential. I think he is becoming a very important player on this team.

Love how JDD stepped it up and delivered. He needed that. The team needed to see him do it.

Good on Hemsky. I can't help but wonder what Penner would look like at centre. Powerplay is starting to get some serious mojo.

Cool beans.

After what sounds like a pretty good game from Giguere he gets hung out to dry. At least Selanne is money in the shootout.

Selanne's shootout goal was so pretty. He knew that poke-check was coming and Kipper was screwed as soon as he threw it.

It didn't. He played better the game before the "calling out" and if you go back and listen to Quinn's words on the subject, it actually wasn't a calling out.

those announcers sucked
Totally agree . I'm not one to whine about poor announcers but those two were brutal . They also threw out the " $7 million Horcoff cap hit " comment , which is clearly an error in fact that professional broadcasters shouldn't make . Know the guy's salary or don't comment on it .

Horcoff has 9 points over his past 8 hockey games. Say what you will but I'm glad to see his production rachet up.

I can't recall in more recent years but I don't think that the Oil beat the Blues at all in 2006.

Clearly they miss DeBrusk in Pheonix.
