He's accused of plotting a murder not comitting one. Just a stupid thing to do.

I don't know whether to feel bad for him, because he's obviously very troubled, or to be disgusted.

I mean, I guess I feel bad for him because he was scared and didn't want his sexual preference to become public because of what would most likely come along with that, being a professional athlete and all. But it's also kind of hard to feel bad for someone who would have another person killed.

Just a very sad situation.

Getting over? OFF ICE incidents have happend almost every year for the last 20+ years in the NHL, want me to name them? Hockey players are no strangers to the gossip pages. And i'm talking major names - Roy, Belfour, Hasek, Thornton, etc. Of course it's not just hockey, the other sports seem to be worse when it comes to off ice accidents, drug related issues, domestic abuse, etc.

Really, I'm not defending Danton, he's very screwed up, putting it lightly. I just don't find humor in these kind of things because this kid was given an oppurtunity to make something of himself and could'nt get the better of his demons, whatever/whoever they might be.

Where was the humor?

I'm just stating this is bad for hockey. As soon as the Bertuzzi incident finally dies down after we read all these terrible articles on hockey - mostly from people who don't know the sport - this happens.

It's not supposed to be funny - it was just a sarcastic comment. Sorry if it came off another way.

B, I wasn't really directing those comments at you, just the stuff about how this is not something new to hockey. The immature posters on the 'talk' board got me upset at the way they were posting, so i ranted a bit on here as well.

My wife is a lawyer and says it is difficult to prove but if they find any substantial evidence, he can go away for a long time.
