Bergeron Appreciation thread.

Do it!

The guy may make some of the worst mistakes I have seen but damn he is an offensive dynamo. He makes some beauty plays to keep it in the offensive zone and gosh darnit he scores, he can finish.

I can look past the hate and appreciate.

His 2 shots leading to 2 goals were really weak...He got lucky twice.
But yeah, bottom line, he buried both and that what counts.

when all is said and done, he has 9 points in 17 games so far I believe.

Not too shabby.

He is not a very good all around hockey player, but he played probably his best game of the year so far tonight...

the goals, but more so the timely pinches to keep the puck in deep and the fact that he didn't make as many bonehead D-mistakes as in previous games.

We still won't be going far if he has to play serious minutes for us down the stretch or in the playoffs, but tonight he showed that he certainly can be useful.

i'd still rather have Carle in there, but if he continues to build from tonight, we'll be in better shape.

Helps that the Habs and CBJ were the only team playing. This won't happen often

He got PM's Monster performer but I think others were more deserving. Price and Plekanec come to mind, and Cammalleri can win it almost every game.

-Scored 2 goals
-kept the puck in at the point with nice plays
-pokechecked Nash when he tried to come in one on one
-separated opponents from the puck using his body
-didn't cause the team to run around in their own zone for 2min straight
-made good outlet passes
-didn't crumble under the pressure when handling the puck behind his net

...I'm scared.

Someone pumped him on amphetamines and androgens? I didn't think he could pull one like this out of his bag...

I don't know what to think about him...

The guy plays miserably for two weeks than gets a game like this one.

I know he'll be money on the PP when Markov will be back, but do I really want him in the lineup?

Maybe 7 defensemen???

I appreciated him tonight. Still risky plays towards the front of the net but it worked. I need consistency before I fully support the thread.

LOL. Come on. The first one was a fluke goal that any goalie would have 99% of the time and his second he fanned on the shot.

It's nice he got goals but he's still garbage and does not use his slapper enough considering it's his only positive player trait.

He played 1 good game and it sounded like all of you guys wanted to give him an contract extension..

He need to be consistent each games, and he is not.

I wouldn't go that far, but after all the bashing he receives. It's nice that he does receive some credit when he does well.

They were fluke goals but he's played well the last 2-3 weeks, looks like he's rounding into form. We are much deeper on defense than last year...Mara played 1st pair tonight and did a good job on Nash(not much they could do on the great pass or fluke to deflected pass Stralman), O'byrne is playing well since coming back, Gorges is solid, hamrlik is playing like a #1. Leach is very steady for a guy costing us 150k of cap hit. If we can get our forwards back the shots on goal should drop with more puck control.
