I didn't get to make the minimalist GDT today... we're cursed now. Broke the tradition.

We still don't know if it was the minamalist GDT or Ryan's facelift that got us the win there ... so you got an asterisk next to your performance in the GDT Standings thread.

They took the message from Quinn to heart last game, I hope it continues for this one. I didn't realize the Kings beat us twice at home last year, REVENGE.

Don't you remember it was them who officially eliminated us from the playoffs last year.

Actually I did, I was too drunk at the time to care.

He is really missing Smyth. His numbers have dropped since Smyth has been gone.

oooh, asterisk... those often denote fine print to follow. I think your right and following the same format Ryan rolled with Ryan might be key here.

-Ryan- maybe you need to get in here and edit the first post for something, anything and then ensure a win.

Not really...he just hasn't been playing the same game he has played all season long. He has been passive and hasn't really tried to drive the net or take over a shift. He played passive last season and his play dropped off big time. He needs to get back to being aggressive with the puck instead of always trying to set up his teammates.

The whole team has been in an offensive slump, even before Smyth went down. Perhaps that ends tonight?

Anyway, nice GDT, good luck, and feel free to tie it up in the final minute and lose in extra time.

Because he is missing Ryan Smyth. Thats his office.

Oilers with a 2-1 victory tonight!

Edmonton:
Penner - Gagner, Souray
JFJ - Brule

LA Kings:
Kopitar - Doughty

HERE WE GO OILERS HERE WE GO!!!!

That being said, I don't think it will be an easy game. I think LA will be dominate in the first and second period. Only in the third will Edmonton realize, it's time to wake up and come out "guns a blazin". I think it will be the same old game as usual of bad lazy penalties though. But c'mon boys, prove me wrong!

When we lost to them in late November and I'll never forget how lifeless and disinterested the Oilers looked, it was pure frustration watching that sorry effort. (it's scary that we've all noticed the same thing this year injuries or not)

Later in the season, playoff hopes on the line, they play a carbon copy of the November game with the same result. Last years team was the most frustrating to watch as an Oilers fan imo. But I won't go into this, we've all voice concerns over the culture of entitlement from our supposed "leaders".

Just like SFGiant fans, as long as you produce wins, we'll cheer you on no matter what methods you use.
