Gagner pulling his Sully impression, not so much scoring tonight.

Sully was good tonight so was JDD.
I'll add two more. Two of the board's favorite whipping boys, 18 and 77 were very good tonight as well.

This is a reactionary post, but Penner looked very tired out there tonight. He's gassed and somebody needs to step up.

LOL @ this team.

10-12-3 and only beating 2 teams in the West who have games in hand. We are 5th worst in the NHL and could be 3rd worst pretty soon. Positive is a top 5 draft pick at this point.

I know people are going to say I am negative but I am not trying to be. I love this team with all my heart and always will not matter if they finish 82-0 or 0-82 but it's frustrating to being a fan right now. 5 times in 6 years of playoffs is tough. This city and the fans deserve better.

Almost a waste of time repeating the same stuff over and over again about why this team is going to miss the playoffs.

Oh well...such is the life of the fan that cheers for a perennial bottom feeder.
I usually disagree with you but i'm starting to come around to your thinking, why i defend this team is beyond me, i look at the players rolled out tonight and can't believe how bad the roster looks, UGLY

Yeah Gilbert played well. The break outs seemed a lot better actually tonight. Offense was too flat but had chances (Gagner, argh) to finish it.

This team now looks like the same team I saw last year. Outworked, outskated, outhustled.

Coaching hasn't made one iota of difference.

Terrible game by the oilers. Now we have to look forward to Heatley sniping us. San jose is a top 3 team in this league and they will absolutely demolish us on friday. Oh, and it doesn't get any better because I bet Vancouver will shut us out on Saturday.

Amazing team the Hawks. They were an elite team before they got Hossa back. Incredible to have that kind of depth and talent.

Maybe he's done for the year and we get Seguin or Hall. Honestly, that would be the best thing that could possibly happen to this team. I don't wish Hemsky any injury, but the situation is what it is.

Who knows, alot can happen between now and then, but you're a fan so you're on board I would imagine.

A mediocre effort from a mediocre team. Sometimes less, never more.

I still think Gagner can be a first line center if he stops being ****ing retarded.

That's a good point, they both had solid nights, especially Moreau.

This is what happens when your "goal scorers" have the goal scoring label without the "goal scorers" execution. Very hard game to watch, yet very predictable.

Positives:

Moreau, Cogliano and Potulny came to play.

Negatives:

The rest of the team came to watch.

Jacques and O'Sullivan looked solid as well and both had lots of jump, but you need more drivers than passengers to win these games, and today that wasn't the case.

Let's hope Hemsky isn't out too long, any confirmation if it's a head injury or a shoulder injury?

Weird game by JDD, he DID give the team a chance to win, but at the same time he let in some softies along the way.

Really, the most frustrating part of this is its predictability.

I blame Yukon Jack. All week he's been going on and on about how Stoll and Greene wouldn't get on the score sheet. Why tempt the hockey gods?

No excuse... this team just isn't good enough. Too much money tied up in mediocre players.

Oilers won last game with a shutout - PGT was only six pages... I am guessing we should reach six pages on this thread within an hour.......

On a side note - Chicago has three shorthanded goals against San Jose - 2nd period not yet over....

Ya know, i used to think it was an energy issue but i'm starting to come to the realization that it's a talent issue, there's not one player on this team who can consistently score goals and there's too many guys who miss golden opportunities time after time, it's becoming too much of a pattern.

We've got two elite PP defensemen, yet our PP can't get any shots. It's not the roster we need to be worrying about, it's the team play. These guys don't look like they practice at all.

Not a big surprise, after the big talk for the last one they win, this game back to the same dog****. Wash rinse repeat.
Apathy is going to set in soon, I am tired of the same crap from this team. Please at the trade deadline find a way to get rid of some of some of the deadweight.
