Gagner has the skillset, he just needs to become stronger. Seriously, kid, work on that. Upper body strength is pretty easy to improve on; what the hell does he do during his off season?

That game winner was an AHL goal. Team looked tired. Damn. That was the game we needed. Just can't gain any traction this year.

I like the

JFJ Horcoff Brule

Moreau Potulny Cogs

Lines.

Too bad our 1st line is basically gone now with Hemsky out. Can't catch a break injury wise.

The forecheck on that last dump-in by Visnovsky was beyond pitiful.

One of the biggest things I've noticed about the Oilers this season is that they're horrendous on the forecheck. Most of our players stop skating three or four strides away from the puck and that results in the other team almost always winning the battle on the boards and taking possession.

Just watch for it next game and you'll see how insane it is. Even a guy like Horcoff who is known for being a hard worker eases up on the forecheck. I have no idea why they're doing it but it's ineffective at best and downright stupid at worst.

This team responds to a team meeting for 1 game and promptly reverts back to the lack-luster group they, quite clearly are. Other than Moreau going to the net ONCE we're back to Perimeter shots and looking for the perfect play.

Brutal game on all fronts with exception of JDD - this game could have EASILY been 5 - 1.

Someone else said it - dive for 5.

I hate to be one of these people to but diving for 5 sure sounds good right now...

Maybe Tambellini just doesn't like Quinn and is trying to kill him via our team?

Trust me I take no pleasure in the fact that that this roster is so weak.
Its the same old garbage night after night after night. The only thing that I can take solace in is that I have wasted very little money endorsing this incompetence.

Meanwhile I get posters calling me a Flames fan because I found humour in Greene of all people scoring his only goal in 32 games to give LA the win.

Only in Oil Country.

JDD despite making some big saves let in two goals he should have stopped.

I'm not blaming the game on him, and I'm not saying he should have had a shut out. But both those goals should have been stopped.

JDD let in two softies even though he stopped a fair number of shots.

Man this team is bad when they want to be - just gross

Cannot wait to see what the Sharks accomplish against this squad......

I am sick of missing the playoffs but at this point I will go numb for the next 2 seasons so we can get some high draft picks clear out the garbage on this team and start a proper rebuild.

Surround young talent with winning and you get winners - surround them losers and you get losers

I just want Tambo to make some moves......anything to give me hope

I am depressed.....

The forecheck has been a huge problem for two years. I don't know how an NHL management team can fail to address that and believe that a coaching change is a magic tonic towards making certain players play bigger.

This is actually a BETTER forecheck than they had last year if you can believe it.

Horcoff is anti-puck possession.

On a side note, Chicago is out shooting San Jose 29-11... since this will likely be another year without playoffs, I'm rootin' for Chicago the rest of the way

I know people are going to say I am negative but I am not trying to be. I love this team with all my heart and always will not matter if they finish 82-0 or 0-82 but it's frustrating to being a fan right now. 5 times in 6 years of playoffs is tough. This city and the fans deserve better.
Exactly why we need those lottery picks...

Staios was pretty good, for Staios.

Cogs, Brule, Potulny, Staios, Moreau, Gilbert.

Everyone else was not good enough.

JDD was good but let in 2 weak goals.

This season is the perfect opportunity to go for the bottom. Too many injuries, too many passengers. Lets get someone that can make a difference please. Top five pick here we come.

Very much so and eventually they could find themselves at the bottom of the WC.

The defensemen are fine, the forwards are underwhelming to say the least When Penner or Hemsky aren't beasting, there's nobody, i mean nobody to pick up the slack..... Good teams have depth players who can pick it up when the top guys aren't producing, i mean just look at the Kings with their snipers like for example Matt Greene

O'Sullivan, Cogliano, and Gagner are just not not ready for their roles on this team. Plain and simple.

I gotta say, I'm getting pretty tired of watching it.

This is the NHL Tambellini, start filling some holes already.
