How fair is that to the 17,000 people who expect to watch a competitive team night after night?

Everyone is emotional right now, but keep the discussion on the game and stop picking personal battles.

They paid for it. If they aren't aware of what team they're going to watch, it's their own fault at some point.

and this is the NHL where trades nowadays are difficult

Sully was the best Oiler forward on the ice tonight.

The only one rushing the puck, gaining the zone, and getting it deep.

Other than that we were a turnover machine tonight.

Because the ****ing refs wouldn't let them. Stupid LA had 3 and a half days off. The refs sucked in this game. LA got away with penalties and cheapshots.

You know what's funny, it took about 24 hours for the Phoenix PGT to reach 4 pages and took about 20 minutes for this PGT to reach 4 pages.

Looking at the Western Conference, I really don't see which teams are worse than us. Seems very likely we will be at the bottom by Christmas.

JDD let in two softies I thought.

Cogliano played maybe his best game as an Oiler (or at least in a long while) but didn't get rewarded.
that second goal is not a softy.. greene let a rocket go from the top of the circle top corner...

Life's not fair and last time I checked no one forces anyone to buy tickets.

Maybe Oiler fans might want to share a few of the Cups they've won with cities like Vancouver that haven't won **** while we're talking about "fair".

I'm tired of it too, but how do you trade to fill holes when half your holes are due to injury? I imagine that Tambo would love to move Nilsson, Cogliano, Gilbert and maybe a couple others, but that's really hard to do right now.

Screw this top five pick stuff. The Oilers selected Gagner with number 6 three drafts ago and he's still struggling to find his professional game. It's not who the Oilers have selected it's the marginal players that they've surrounded their young offensive talent with. What the Oilers need is one or two established veterans NOT named Hemsky, Horcoff or Moreau. I liked Comrie before the flu and the mono hit him, but he's not the the kind of veteran that the Oilers needed/need.

all i ll say is that if more players on this team hustled like cogliano we would be winning more hockey games. he might not have the size or strength to win every battle but man does the kid ever have heart.

if hemsky is out for any time id put him up on the first line.

LA won the puck battles tonight, had better positional play and better puck support. Kopitar/Williams missing Smyth and probably their worst game of the season and LA still beats us at home..

Gagner pulling his Sully impression, not so much scoring tonight.

Sully was good tonight so was JDD.
They wanted to fight cheapshot Handzus but the ****ing refs blocked it and wouldn't allow them to fight.

I thought he deserved a star tonight. Cogliano was good too, so I'm cool with him getting one, but I thought O'Sullivan looked really good. He needs to spend more time playing with quality offensive linemates though, it's the only way he's going to get out of his slump.

Average game, lost on botched chances and too many shots against (again).

Outshot 35-23. What's the excuse?
LA had three and a half days off and were well-rested. The Oilers are decimated by injuries and stupid LA isn't
