I would say very little. Obviously MDZ is going to be on point for the first unit and I think Gilroy is going to get his chance on the 2nd unit, especially with Redden now out. Wade was at the point on that unit the last few games...Gilroy deserves a shot I think.

Ryan Callahan having a terrible offensive year is completely independent of Enver Lisin having a terrible year. It's like you shooting someone in the face, then trying to make it all about Dick Cheney shooting someone in the face....YOU still shot the dude in the face, regardless.

Rangers win 4-3

Is there any particular reason that the Florida games start at 7:30? No wonder they have attendance issues, half of their population tends to go to bed around 8pm.

God no! Last game he had assist but only because he can never hit the net. Even Kotalik has better accuracy.

I see what he's trying to say.

A lot of posters lately have been trying to deflect attention away from the player that they like that has been struggling by focusing on another player that has been struggling. That doesn't take away from the fact that the players are playing poorly.

As for Lisin and Cally... they both aren't playing well and need to do better. No free passes here. Arguing who sucks less is kind of pointless, they aren't producing and I'm not making excuses for either of them.

An all too common HF trend.

I'm not the biggest Drury fan but it was pretty clear to me that he was trying to hit Gaborik's stick on that play and did so perfectly. That's a pretty ridiculous statement.

Most definitely. Regardless of his contract, give credit where it's due. That was a smart, yet vet move made by Drury.

It was a perfect deflection setup by Drury for Gaborik...he wasn't trying to hit the net. Its pretty impressive he served it up like that. Drury was a huge piece to that win in FLA with that big assist and those key faceoff wins.

...yeah...honestly im not sure thats what he was trying to do...i just think he shot it wide, and Gabby tipped it in...but really only Drury knows on that one, he shot it off the pass and was looking at the pass the whole way, im not sure how he coulda aimed a pass/shot like that without really taking a look up...but who knows...

Frankly I don't care. He picked up a primary assist on a big goal. End of story for me.

I have a feeling Prospal is going to have a little bit more in his step tonight.

Me too. However, now I'd much rather see Staal-MDZ together for another 10 years.
Sangs will be great for the 2nd PP unit and because of him we will have 3 offensive d-men - 1 to every pairing.

btw Have you read something about McDonagh? I was afraid that he was a bust, because I couldnt see any other reason why would Habs gave him to us, but he looks great so far and maybe is even prepared for jump from college to NHL (there have been some cases already).

Very big game. We have to beat the teams close behind us in the standings.

Yes.. it was a typical "old style" play.. ala Steve Vickers.

Dont know why we dont see that too often anymore. When its tried today, the puck is never flat on the ice the way Drury did that..nice play

Other teams do it a lot more than the Rangers. The Devils and the Sabres come to mind as teasm who use it consistently even when not on the PP.
