That goalie on the Canucks ain't so bad either. Yeah I know you said forwards. But really, think about elite Canadians in general in Canada, still a pretty small crowd.

I'll be at this game, it won't be pretty and like BBO said, I want to see Jacques make Heatley suffer.

*Expletive* Heatley.

Matheson's comment about an inferiority complex is correct and it's been there since '06. It is what what it is and there's nothing that we can do about it. I'm becoming increasingly hostile towards these "good ole Canadian boys" that wish to live out their NHL dream relaxing on the beach.
Perhaps management should build a team around Russians... my impression is that they want to play where hockey matters; and are smart enough to realize that they can travel elsewhere in the off season.

Point - Tambellini, get us Kovalchuk!!!!!

My thoughts exactly. Roli vs SJ was always fun to watch just to see the shot count.

Hopefully the building is electric and the game isn't a laugher.

Heatley doesn't play in Ottawa this year... so Edmonton, do us proud!
Go Oilers!

I bet the Oil win tonight.

Like I said, they'll pull this one out of their ass and we'll all feel good about this team for a few hours...then they'll get shat on by Vancouver again.

Same damned vicious cycle...

Oil is icing a pretty weak line up tonight. Lets hope JDD has a solid start to make this one even be close.

Looks like the picture on the official oilers site is shopped. Kinda odd.

Hear hear after reading that tripe I really wanted to throw up. Mature, he has been anything but, more like a petulant child.
To the game, I hope we keep it close, but we lose this one due to mental lapses which happen every game with this team. Any mistake the Oilers make will be in the net.

My MS paint calendar says 7:30 and I got that from the Oilers website... but really you want to be there early to get a nice buzz going to deal with the awesomeness you are about to take in.

It is kinda funny how things have changed. There was a time when elite Canadian born players wanted to play in Canada, but now it seems elite Europeans like the challenge of playing for teams in this country. The European guys seem to have more of a thick skin.

The Sharks should hit double digits, easily. They just lost 7-2 at home and I would think are pretty pissed. Bouncing back from bad losses are what great teams do. 10-1 Sharks

I agree, **** Dany Heatley. I can understand why he didn't want to come to Edmonton. But demanding a trade from a city where you're a hero, 1 year into a big new contract is disgraceful. And holding out to get a $4 million bonus to screw over his old team is just the icing on the crap-cake. What a great example to all the kids in Ottawa who idolized him

7-3 San Jose.

REalistically, the Oil should get completely slaughtered.

In some way though, I feel as though the score will infact be flattering to the Sharks, JDD will probably let in 1 or 2 softies due to the intimidation factor.

I'm sure the boys will come out and give as spirited an effort as they are capable of, but a victory is pretty much impossible here.

"Edmonton has been ravaged by injuries this season, wracking up a league leading 146 man games lost to injuries."
