well, I laughed, but hell wasn't on my list of places I'd be willing to go. The answer isn't no, I just want other options first.

It's between Hell, Calgary, or GM Place.

Hell is the obvious choice.

No contest I'll see everyone in Hell. Just make sure you make a reservation at any restaurants down there. Those Spartans think they can just seat 300 no problem.

Well I came to a decision. I won'y crush Nabokov's head just because every time i choose a goalie...we tend to get shut out. So I have chosen Thornton and Marleau for my avatar. As for Mr. Heatley, well, I will be at the game and will crush his head personally. Video to follow in the PGT.

We'll boo until the Sharks score their 4th goal in the first period, then dead silence for the rest of the game.

I mean if he had accepted the deal here, it's likely we'd only be 2-4 points better at best and probably be struggling to get the 8th seed all year long. His goal scoring likely would take a hit here too (sorry Hemsky is no Spezza, let alone Thornton ... and Horcoff ... lol is considerably worse than Alfredsson or Marleau). In San Jose he's well on pace to top 50 goals playing with Jumbo Joe.

If the basis of his decision was to ensure the best trade for his immediate career, then its hard to argue that waiting for San Jose wasn't the right move for him. They're in 1st place, we're in what ... 12th? Until we get more stability with the franchise and a true 1st line superstar (read: the draft), other stars aren't going to want to play here.

The Sharks may choke in the playoffs again, but at least they're pretty much a lock to get in.
Yes the Spezza who has 2G 12A 14P and a -3 +/- in 21 games this year.

Aw, I love Joe, but ok. I'm glad you ran with one of my suggestions. Of course I look forward to your video.

We are two points out of the basement in the West. We may well be in the cellar by the end of the weekend. We may be a bottom feeder all season long. The team that other looks at as a must win game.

Can a season really be all but over before December 1st? It's Friday. The weekend. And I'm already depressed even before my team hits the ice. lol

And Kevin Lowe gets to fly around North America and pick Team Canada? I would be just as qualified to go to the mall and hand pick astronauts from the crowd at Walmart.

Tonight is going to suck. I still have hope for this team but I don't see it happening until some major moves are made.

That said, blowout for San Jose.

EDMONTON - 0
vs
SAN JOSE - 5

Anyone know where I can get some cheap paper bags before I go to the game?

Hope you guys give Heatley a warm welcome. Show him the sights (check him into the boards face first) and take him for a ride (a knee-on-knee would also work). Also as gracious hosts, you should also give him to remember (if there are any used tissues from players who had swine flu, toss a couple in his direction.)

All the hype surrounding Heatley leads me to think he'll have a quiet game. I see Penner and Cogliano stepping up huge tonight.

Heavily outshot, Oilers win 4-3 in SO

Should be a fun game tonight. The big story on SJ's side is the return of Torrey Mitchell, who has missed 180 straight reg. season games due to injury. We're half expecting he'll spontaneously combust mid-game.

Interestingly enough, I'll be at Stockton Arena chillin' inside The Kings Room to catch the start of Sharks/Oilers before heading to my seat to watch the Thunder host Idaho (for the bazillionth time).

Dubnyk still has a TON of fans in Stockton. I'm sure we would love to see him make his official NHL debut between the pipes tonight (as that would also mean JDD was chased lol). It'll also be great to see O'Marra in action w/ Edmonton.

Penner-Gagner-Potulny
Jacques-Horcoff-Brule
Moreau-Cogliano-O'Sullivan
McDonald-O'Marra-Stortini

....

Weakest forward group I've ever seen for the Oilers... Our 1st line is 2nd line caliber, both our 2nd and 3rd lines are on a 3rd line level and our 4th is AHL caliber.

Ugly game for the Oilers as we lose 7-1.

Might I suggest plastic. If I were going tonight that's how I'd roll.
