Merging two people into a photo

Anyone really good photoshopper?

Like, if I gave you a picture of two people (single photos of each person), could you merge them to make it look like they were together... depending on the background?

Reason being, long story...funny, but me and an old friend lost the only photo we had left of us, and we won't be together for a while so we were jokingly seeing how one would turn out lol. But it has to be legit. Anyone capable and up to the task?

Just cut the person (render) using lasso or that other tool and feather it up a bit, then stick onto original pic.

Actually depending on the scene you will have to account for lighting, perspective, sharpness and contrast.

Yeah, see, I'd do that.. but:

A) Don't have program
B) Don't know how to run it at all
