No worries man... gotta deflect my anger about this game somewhere and you opened up a chance for me to nitpick on something else

With that said:

Solid win top to bottom for the Wings.

See what happens when they actually come out and play 60 minutes?

However with this blowout I expect the Preds to come back hard and win back at home for game 6, setting up game 7 back at the Joe (which is what I prededicted, this series to go to game 7).

Above all, what a series this is!!!

No one mentioned it but: Cujo gets his first playoff win as a Wing.

somethign to ponder

got this 2nd hand, but ESPNNews is talking about Dave Lewis' new restaurant [sp?] in Fenton Michigan. They say the wings organization is not happy that Lews chose to open the place right as the play-offs started. and questioned if he has truly been focused enough.

His contract is up at seasons in, and there has been NO talk about an extension.

Interesting take, although c'mon, even if they're not being 'coached' at 100%, the Wings could/should have played the first four games much better and with much, MUCH more hustle.

How come so many Predator fans have the "I'm just happy we're here" mindset?

:lol

Where do you get that from my post?

Have you watched the first 4 games at all? Especially the last 2? The Wings have played with almost 0 desire to win the games. Meanwhile the Preds have been working hard.

Johnson's goal the other night, he should have been covered but was wide open when he got the puck in front of the net, most the Wings were casually skating back towards the net.

Again, :lol at your post.

i dont mean that as an excuse for losing, they lost caue they played like shat and were handled easily for it.

its just something i didnt hear about. it goes back to the loss last year against Anaheim. Appearently he started this almost immediately after they were eliminated.

And slam the Preds all you want for them going to the media, but I look at it as it as hey, at least people are listening to them. Don't agree fully with what Vokoun said but I'd probably be a little cocky too after getting no respect all season long, getting NO respect from most people for this series, then only allowing 1 goal in 2 games against the vaunted Detroit Redwings. But, that's just me.
Detroit went through the same thing in the early-mid 90s. Then it got worse when they were very good in the regular season just to get bounced early in the playoffs...in the end, respect just takes time. And after the respect, the hatred soon follows I'd say good luck next game but...well...heh

Well, they do say food is a natural anti-depressent, especially the eating of it part, and what better than to open your own restaurant

Btw what kind of restaurant is it?

0 desire to win the games and we're up in the series, ok! Anyway, you're reacting to this game like "about time Detroit dominated us" Maybe I get it from most of the Nashville fans who just seem to accept the loss like they don't expect very much from their team.

its a Hockey-driven sports bar. so there was definitely a reason for opening it right as the play-offs started. Thats whats causing the fuss. Sounds like he was more into getting his place open on time than preparing Detroit

Stop while you're ahead their chief.

Again, did you watch the first four games? Who was hustling more, for more of the games (and not just the third period)?

And no i'm not reacting to this game like 'about time Detroit donimated us" i'm reacting to it like : Detroit actually came out with some hustle and desire and played 60 minutes of hockey.

Do I need to spell it out in an even more layman way for you? Or are you just going to continue to assume stuff?

In that case, Quinnville?

That would be a scary thought, although I could see it maybe happening.

Ugh, if it's between the two Quinnville please.

Actually now that I think about it, Quinnville might be a good fit for the Wings, and he knows the Western conference quite well obviously.

Give it a rest. I think for the most part, us Wings fans have given the Preds all kinds of respect in this series. The threads about this series have been very level-headed and very friendly. So stop the "nobody gives us respect" stuff now. Go back and read all the posts since the beginning. Most Wings fans have been giving props to the Preds since Game 1.
