Thanks for posting. Wahl and Nemisz are looking real solid. I liked Nemisz in the playoffs last year as well.

a few things...

1. Brodie played with the Saginaw Spirit for 19 games before being traded to Barrie. During that time he had 4 Goals and 19 Assists and was +15
2. College players are still prospects and if you are going to start a stat thread on the prospects then they deserve to be in there no matter how poorly they are playing
3. What about other Euro's?... Ortio and Deilert?
4. What about our guys that have put in time with Victoria and Utah in the ECHL?

Ill throw in the NCAA stuff, I must have missed the brodie games (was wondering why he had only played 8 games...) I didn't include Ortio because I did not find any stats on him, post them if you have them...

A lot of our junior players are having pretty good seasons. Have to be happy with the progress of Nemisz, Brodie, Wahl and Howse especially. Patterson is having a pretty good season as well especially for a late rounder. IIRC though he was an overager in the draft.

Should of drafted Kozun instead of Bennett.
Even if Kozun doesnt turn out, he has way more upside and I dont really see Bennett doing a whole lot, however im not familar with the type of game he plays.

I already get the feeling Howse is going to be a bit of a steal.

Also, is anyone else getting a little worried that Backlund isn't really producing in the AHL. I know it's only been like 25 games or whatever, but he doesn't seem to be putting up great totals, even for a rookie.

I was pretty hyped on Howse when we drafted him. He has great speed as well as a great shot. Much more talent than you would expect from a third rounder. Hopefully he becomes a useful contributer in the future.

knock on his was his play away from the puck... I hope his impressive +/- this year is a sign he is learning the defensive game

Not to mention the numbers he's put up on a terrible Chilliwack Bruins team. Sutter did a great job drafting some offensive fire power this past draft.

From my understanding Backlund had been playing on the third line the majority of the season. Only in the last week has he been playing in the top 6. He has got top PP time and that's where a lot of his points are from. I'm not concerned yet at all.

Where can I find line combinations for The Heat?

We could have drafted Kozun, a Hitmen boy, but instead we took Bennet? I guess I can see Bennet if he was going to stay the college route for his long term development, but he skipped to the dub anyway.

Howse isn't exactly on a good junior team either. If he had some star line mates to play with he could be even better. Great hockey sense and has an NHL ready shot. He will be our offensive answer in a few years...

Kozun would have been a better pick, but oh well, I'm happy with Erixon/Howse/Bjorklund.

Nemisz will be playing for The Heat next season, right?

As most club do, he will be signed during the playoffs and play for them next year, unless he is to be an overager in the OHL,

Question: If someone like Nemisz isn't signed before the 2010 draft, can he be re-drafted even if the flames have interest in him. I don't know what happened with Lombo but he was drafted by the Oilers and then two years later drafted by the Flames. Anyone know how this works?

Isn't Nemisz already signed to his Entry level? Pretty sure Sutter got him locked up during the summer. And if I'm not mistaken Wahl is the only junior prospect from that draft we need to sign.

I'm pretty sure Alexander Deilert has alot better stats than what you have up there.

Ah yes, he has 15 points in 19 games in the Allvenskan. The league below the SEL. In fact, i think he leads that league for defensemen.

Yeah Nemisz will be with Abbotsford next season.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont believe a NHL 1st rounder has been sent back for their overager year in over 20 years.

I for one would love to see both Backlund and Nemisz on the big team next year... and possibly Negrin but maybe I am dreaming
