"Anyone think Todd should put together the Burger King line, Heater Jumbo Patty?"

ok, he said "heater" instead of "heated"...since you know, he was using each of their nicknames which makes more sense.

And the departure from Burger king line to burger line is truly a mark of complete originalism.

I'm just saying, I'm sure dozens of people had thought of this nickname before pota did, and before Erock did, don't have to go around tooting horns.

Burger Sticking

I think its still early to anoint THE LINE, but it seems as though writers are spreading the news .....

Calgary Herald December 6, 2009 10:39 AM
"The Sharks, after all, boast the Burger Line that would be Joe Thornton, Dany Heatley, Patrick Marleau (yes, Jumbo-Heated-Patty, as suggested by one eager reader of the San Jose Mercury News)."

So does this mean that somebody else on this other discussion board beat me to a "line name proposal" thread? I feel so redundant .

Now I'll have to come up with another "cause celebre".

That annoying woman Julie on Eklund's site made comments about 'The Burger' nickname http://www.hockeybuzz.com/tv/video.php?video_id=144

She doesn't think it makes sense. Then again, she likes the nickname "St. Malkos" (St. Louis, Malone, Stamkos). So I find her opinion completely invalid, because that is one of the stupidest nicknames I've heard for a line.

There's nothing more pathetic than people arguing about who came up with a line name first. Its not like anyone is getting royalties for it, and frankly, no one will remember who came up with it anyway. Still, congrats on the recognition.

That's an expensive "burger" by the way. A $21 million dollar burger.

I don't think anyone has done a:

Trade Nabby

Trade Patty

or

Fire Doug Wilson thread. Those are diamonds in the rough!

So if the # 1 line is split up we can't really call them the burger line, anymore can we?

Here are some other names to think about depending on who is moved off the top line on any given night.

whopper jr. combo--heated patty without the jumbo

veggie burger combo--heated jumbo without the patty

rare burger combo--jumbo patty without the heat

Well now that the last best line in the history of hockey; the Burger Line has been broken up, maybe we should argue over the name of the next best line ever Marleau-Thornton-Seto? The last best line ever made it what .... 11 games? Times a wasting. We are already almost 20% into the life of the new best line. Better get at a name.

How about the Mathse Line .... or the Thmase line.... maybe the Semarton Line ......

I refuse to call this line anything because our 2nd line is **** because of it.
One of the slow players on the 2nd line has to be sent up, one of the fast ones on the 1st sent down.

Playing Heater on the 2nd line + 2nd PP unit = trade

I know you hated seeing Seto get to the first line, but he needed to get going, and Heater and Patty on the same line is really a dearth of riches with shots but nobody was getting the puck in the corners. Everyone was going to the net. I get your point of getting some speed on both lines though.

Seto has been going into the corners and the line is better with his speed and physical play. Pavs and Clowe can handle the puck and set up other players. Both will go into the corners for retrieval. Heater will get his shots off that line. And I wouldn't start nicknaming either line until they show both lines play well for 15 games. Personally, I'd rather see Clowe on the top line with Heatley for a spell and Patty play with Pavs and Seto. But leave Seto alone for awhile. He scored a goal finally!

So I found this interesting. Obviously we're going with the Burger line, but FTF has a cool nickname I hadn't heard, though some of you may have:

HTML

Heatley Thornton Marleau Line

Found it to be pretty clever.

Clever, but no. Reminds me of the worst bay area team name ever: The Cyber Rays.
