Koivu/Selanne package to Eastern Conference

My mind immediately sprung Rangers. Rozy/Higgins/Lisin/2nd (in some combination) for the pair of upcoming UFAs and veteran leaders?

I'm not sure the Ducks want any part of Rozsival though.

Where are these two stars going and for whom? I just see the Rangers as a team in obvious need of a shakeup and two over the hump, but still strong star players who are coming off the cap next season...it fits well.

Actually I see the Ducks as one of the teams willing to take on Roszival's contract. They are in edsperate need of a top-four defenseman, and as overpaid as Rosy is he can still fill that void. Gonna take a heck of alot more incentive than Higgins, Lisin, ect though.

The Ducks are not trading Selanne. He's going to retire a Duck and be the first Duck to get his jersey retired.

But the Hurricanes need to re-build and can only accomplish this by trading all of their best young players for impending UFAs and players other teams don't want!

No way the 'Canes add Ward without an aging veteran UFA they don't need like Todd Marchant coming back as well.

well, as much as Anaheim would want him to stay, trading him could be one of the best things possible.

Remember Philly?

They traded away some players who meant nothing to a losing team, and could really help a winning team, and ended up with some good pieces.

Does Teemu have a NTC? He vetoed a trade from California in 2002. Different set of circumstances, but it would lead me to believe he'd do it again IMO

1. Selanne is the face of the franchise.
2. Murph will not move Selanne.
3. Selanne has a NMC.

He has a NMC, but that should not matter because the Ducks will not trade him.

This rumor is quite funny. At least make one about two players who COULD ACTUALLY get traded. Both these guys aren't going anywhere, no matter how the Ducks finish, especially Selanne. I see him kind of like Sundin, refusing to waive the NMC to stay with the team he's been with for a while and loves.

There is not a chance at all that Selanne is getting traded.

Didnt Selanne say at the beginning of this year that this would be his last? And that he's retiring after this year?

Either way there's no way he's going anywhere, he's won his cup he's got nothing else to prove, and he's got a NMC
