Orpik will never, ever get the respect he deserves because of his style of game.

Aubin played some ok games this year, *******************************. ************************************************** ***************Also, don't forget he was put through waivers, and no one claimed him. I really doubt that he will be signed again.

I watch the last couple of games Aubin played.....he was terrific in net....I'm a goalie myself and I'm sure Aubin as th skills to be a #1....the defence corps was horrible the last couple of years and he regained his confidence with his strong play lately

*****************. I played hockey for 30 years from the time I was 5. I've been going to games since I was 4, I have some idea about the game. Aubin has a bad habbit of going down too soon, he doesn't recover well, and he needs to get his head on straight. If he can take care of all of that then he might have a place in the NHL. I hope he does, but he has a lot to prove. A few good games this year just doesn't cut it.

Aubin is a decent goalie, nothing more, nothing less. He'll have his fair share of brilliant games as well as his fair share of horrendous games.

He's a solid back-up and a horrible starter.

I'd take him back if not for two things. 1 he makes too much, he'd cost 957k next year for us to retain him. 2 there's too many goalies. I'm sure the Penguins want youth over anything right now, and considering Caron has a one-way contract and Fleury will be up with the big team there's no room for Aubin.

I bet it was because he was playing for a contract. But I don't think CP will give him one.

no chance in hell he's resigned. why would anyone give a 26 year old another chance when he got 3 20-23 year olds with greater upside a first chance?

Bring Aubin and Caron at the big level.....and let Chiodo get experience in the AHL and don't hurry Fleury 'cause they will shake his confidance....that's why i'd resign Aubin!!!

I think they might resign Aubin to trade him for a late, laaaaaate draft pick.

As others have said, he's a solid backup at least. He's had some bad years, but before that, he was a legitimate #1. He appears to have regained his form. He brings experience and all that, too.

I can see a team like the Devils nabbing him, just to be the guy that plays a dozen times a year behind Brodeur. I think that'd be a good fit. I think that teams like Minnesota, Edmonton, St. Louis, and Dallas would also be interested in his services.

Max I'm not trying to be mean right now, though it might come off like that. But what is your hard-on with Aubin. Is he your uncle or something. Paying you to do this.

WAIT I KNOW!....

I can't believe it................................................ ...........................................

YOU ARE AUBIN, trying to get fan support before you have to talk to CP.

He is the best goalie since then......assuming of course you are not including Hedberg, MAF, Caron, Ron Tugnutt and Garth Snow! :lol

Congrats to Malone though!!!
I don't think you watched any games or I don't think you know who Caron is.
Garon of the Habs isn't good! He's also older then Theodore.

No, I watched plenty of games and, unfortunatly, I know who he is.

I just don't think he is that good. Again, tell me who he beat out to be on the all-rookie team, then I'll be impressed.

I think you can argue about him and Snow, but Tugnutt played really well while he was here. Remember, this was best goalie with the Pens....not now.

Caron beat many good quality Goaltenders out for it this year, Most will be #1 goalie on there respective team in the future.
The goalies include:

PHILIPPE SAUVE-Colorado
MICHAEL LEIGHTON- Chicago
KARI LEHTONEN- Atlanta
MIKAEL TELLQVIST- Toronto
ALEXANDER AULD- Vancouver

You know what? I'm an Aubin fan.

He's not coming back next season, thats a given, but I think there's an NHL spot out there somewhere. Maybe as backup to Luongo in Florida . I think Shields is a FA.

He's been terrible at times, and has received a lot of criticism accordingly (some undeserved, however) but really, JS has only had the two bad seasons.
