Caps vs. Flyers 12/5

Hey guys, Caps fan here, and I am really excited to make the trip up to Broad St. and see two really talented teams fight it out. I've never been to a game in Philly, so it should be an experience. Anything I should know before making the 2hr drive up to Philly?

Hopefully the injury bug will stay out of this one and we can see nice classic smashmouth hockey, from two of the best teams in the East. The recent slump really shouldn't have you guys worried. This team is very talented.

If the caps win, leave the building quickly and quietly. You aren't wearing a Semin jersey are you?

Nope I like Semin, but his attitude bothers me a lot, too much so to get his jersey. I don't know what will happen with this guy, out of the biggies on the team, I see Semin as the only one that might leave within the next few years. I have an Ovie, and I will prob get a Backs soon. But I'll be in the Ovie sweater for the game.

Don't let these guys scare you too much. As long as your respectful of "our house"...you shouldn't have too many problems other than typical razzing (booing, Ovy sucks, etc)

Ahhh... but then I wont get in any fights... where is the fun in that?? Haha joking obviously. But yea I can handle that obviously it is your turf, but hopefully things don't get outta hand when I jump up for goals and whatnot. I have seen It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Nah if the caps score and you stand it'll be fine, really you just have to not be a dick. Even if someone is starting **** with you you gotta grin and bear it, most times they'll toss you out whether it was your fault or not.

I am actually pissed that Ovechkin is suspended for this game because I wanted to go and see him play. Oh well.

Yea kinda sucks my first trip up to Philly and he will be gone. I mean it's nice seeing him at Verizon Center, but it would have been special seeing him at Wachovia.

Ovie is special to watch in person. Just an outrageously powerful stride.

Yea I seriously recommend the 2 hr drive down to the phone booth to watch him live. I'll buy the first round at the turtle.

Park in Jetro, that's only $5. Don't know where Lot N is but Jetro is across from the Linc basically under I-95.

I'm coming down to DC in January for a game (not the Flyers though), I just want to see OV play and dominate a team other than the Flyers for once. What's up with tickets down there? They seem pretty expensive even for the upper decks. More expensive than in Philly, where I think the tickets are even a little pricey here. I can't find any tickets for less than like $40 each, and I'm trying to go to a game vs. Phoenix.

Yea most single game tickets are sold out. The best place to go if you can't find a deal on stubhub, would be Craigslist. Unfortunately the best deals are on gamedays, with people desperate to just unload the tickets if they cant go. I would try stubhub and ebay first. Or if you find yourself free some day with a home game in DC, check out craigslist. I have gotten lower bowl seats for a little over 100. Actually for the Bruins game last year, we sat right on the ice and it was only like 125 for the pair. It was the game that my fiance decided she looovvved hockey. I got an okay deal on the game this weekend in Philly on Ebay. 170 bucks for 2 ticks in sec 115, 17 rows up. Saved like 20 or so off face... not bad I guess.

Yeah that's a pretty good deal. I usually by the upper levels, you can get a pair sometimes around $50, depending on the game and day of the week.

Yeah, it's the Jetro lot. And you walk behind the Linc. If it's raining through mud, puddles and homeless people. But it's only $5.
