Never a bad deal when you get anything back for someone you picked up off of waivers. Unless, they re-acquired Cheechoo and dealt him for Leach.

So they claim him a couple weeks ago and now they deal him for something. Is this NHL10?

We had a ton of injuries to the D-corps a few weeks ago.

Poor Leach. Can't we get him back for Lowell?

The Sharks do need the depth. Good pick up depending on what they offered.

Could be a good deal for him. San Jose needs a bottem line, defense only d-man. Maybe he can fill in that role on a permanent basis.

To Shark fans:
Leach was pretty solid and wasn't as slow as some Devil fans had warned us. If we didn't have so many defensemen, I'd take him as a 6th or 7th guy. Doesn't do anything noticeable, but that was a good thing (the Habs were playing like crap). He only played a few games though, so it's hard to get a proper analysis on him.

Too tall, unless you wanna saw him in half and make him two players. Then it's close.

it could be great to get a 6th round draft pick in 2010 for him, but its probably for future consideration

Alright, alright, I'll settle for Pavelski and Boyle then.

How often has a guy been claimed off of waivers by the absolute last team with a shot at him?

Solid pick up by the Sharks, Leach didn't look out of place at all in his short stay in Montreal.
