Blues players

Not saying anything will happen, but it could given the Blues impotence in the offensive zone.

Is anyone interested in the following?
Kariya
Boyes
Tkachuk
Berglund
Colaiacovo
*not limited to, but those are the ones with the greatest chance of moving or have the most value IMO...or they are on the "fan hotseat".

If so, who and what would your team offer?

Blues needs are a legit producer up front and/or a top level defenseman.

What's Jackman's asking price? I think he would make a perfect fit with Streit.

Sophomore slump. It will be a very very bad move to trade Berglund.

He is the young man currently in the Murray dog house...supposedly. Or at least he isn't responding well to the current coaching philosophies.

I included him for that reason...and you have to give value to get value.

Possibly. It's all about the return. ..and how much the organization wants to win now.

With McDonald and Backes as capable centers....and Oshie / Eller playing Center before...Berglund might be expendable.

Not really sure. I just don't see him moving. You'd likely have to pay more than his worth is. He is one of those guys where the value to his current team is higher than what it really is to another team.

Jackman is a hair above Salvador and they got Janssen for him. So some sort of roster player + a pick I bet. Not sure if that's truely fair value...just my gut thought.

I really think it would be crazy if the Blues even considered trading Berglund but then i dont see every Blues game so i trust your opinion that he is in the dog house.

Isnt Kariya and Gaborik pretty good mates after spending some time on the treatement table together? I think i read that somewhere but i could be wrong. I dont know why but i wouldnt mind a Kariya-Prospal-Gaborik line.

Then again i'd love Berglund to

So would Tambellini and PHO 3rd suffice?

I personally don't think they should. I don't think the return would be good enough to compensate what they will get long term from him.

Paul can still skate and play, but he seems reliant upon linemates to get production at this point in his career. The work ethic is certainly there.

If our season was shot and they wanted to clear space to get a bigger contract in next year. Would depend if Tambellini found some consistency and could add up some points.

Tkachuk and Kariya could be expensive rentals at the deadline (each could potentially fetch a 1st and a top prospect IMO).

It'd be a bad idea to trade any of the others.

I doubt either Tkachuk or Kariya get a 1st or a top prospect, let alone both. Both of them are on the decline and are complimentry players at this point at best. Besides the Blues probably will turn it around in the 2nd half of the season like last year.

The Blues are not trading Berglund or Boyes IMO. Anyone else on your list, fine.

It might also be worth mentioning that Tkachuk has a NMC.

If last year was any indication, GMs are valuing their first round picks more highly than ever. They are pretty much only dealing them for elite players(Pronger, Kessel). iirc hardly any got traded last year at the deadline.

If Berglund is on the block (which I doubt), Alzner, Osala, Jurcina, Gustavsson, 3rd for Berglund and Jackman. Boudreau probably the ideal coach for Berglund. The guy never puts any pressure on his players. Sometimes it's maddening.
