Hopefully, I'd like to see what they could do together for future reference if you catch my drift.

However, theres still Hodgson, or is he still fighting that back injury.

i received that drift with a big open CATCHERS MITT. it would be interesting. then again it is WJC things are a lot different int eh NHL. but ya none the less some good entertainment come boxing day. but im not sure the oilers are going to tank low enough to have a chance. if they get 3,4,5 ,6 id try to move up.

if hodgson is healthy im almost positive he will get the #1 center job. hes got hte experience in the WJC as well as probably playing in the NHL if it werent for a bum back. but who knows.

Im sure Eberle + Seguin\Hall chemistry @ this tournament will be a factor in our selection if we end up with a top 3 pick.

REALLY??? i doubt it to be honest. eberle and seguin/hall are all cream of the crop for their age so they are prob going to dominate anyone in front of them regardless of who they play with. you take the better player between seguin/hall no matter how they play with eberle. if individually hall is a stronger player than seguin, but seguin rips it up with eberle you still take the better player.

It would be great to see Roy make the team even as a backup, as that would increase his chances of being starter next year

That's awesome, well done for those guys. The Oilers could potential have a bunch of prospects playing in the WJHC this Xmas, that would great.

If Hodgson is on the roster, he'll centre the top line. This is a 19 year olds' tournament - Hall and Seguin (if they make it) will be at the end of the bench.

im pretty sure hall and seguin will make the team. even if one of the two have to play more of a checking role with less offensive roles so be it. you still get to play on the best junior hockey team in teh world and win a gold medal.

They wont make the team as a checker if anything Hall will center a all Windsor line with Henrique and Nemiz and Seguin battles it out with McFarland for the 13th forward spot

I can't remember a time when Canada had a 17 year old or younger player lead them in scoring maybe it was Lindros?

Cornet is gonna be in tough to make this team. He will need to outplay guys like Schenn and Hall because I would think Hodgson is pencilled in as the number 1 center and Cormier is the 4th line Energy line center.

Pretty sure Hall would be flanking as opposed to centering. You know, seeing as he is a left winger?

still think both make it. both are talented enough to play a physical shutdown role if asked and have hte offensive ability to turn it the other way occassionally. besides doesnt hall play wing?? no idea why i said center. so seguin prob has better odds at locking in 2C

No you dont ask top end offensive guys to do that kind of role especially not 17 year olds. It would have been like asking Tavares last year to play on the Energy line and throw some big hits. Hall and Seguin will not be doing that for team Canada not when you have guys like Cormier,Caron,Adams,McMillian,Schenn, and Leblanc who all older and better suited to that Role.

I think Hall is almost a shoe in to make it. He is slighty older than Seguin and McFarland and he has the benefit of playing with linemates at the selection camp.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins who plays in Red Deer will be a top 3 pick

Ty Rattie
Duncan Siemans
Michael St.Croix
Brent Benson

Probably will hear these names early as well

the occasional player u see come through junior that absolutely rips it up doesnt neccessarily get the draft status they deserve due to their pt production. look at schremp for an example. 130 pts in junior or whatever the number was???? wat does he go in the 20's overall to the oilers??? clearly 19 clubs knew something we didnt. or it was a risk they were willing to take...... its all based on maturity and how ur game fits into the top level that being the NHL. guys who put up 10 pts in a season as a d man can be drafted top 10 because their game is built on progression. cornet could probbaly be classified under this.

Uh... no. A 17 year old is not going to compete for top-line centre with the reigning tournament leading scorer and CHL player of the year.

Patrice Cormier, I'd guess, will play above Seguin as well.

Ya I had to laugh too reading the first few posts of this thread with people talkinga bout Hall and Seguin taking first line centre over Hodgson. I pretty much quit reading after that seeing as how Hall won't play centre regardless.

Anyhow, does anyone here see Cornet making the team?
