Lovely. But why put it in the Oilers forum?

Seems to me it's more Oilers related than Tiger Woofs love life and some guy wanting to buy real estate in Edmonton.

You know the Oilers and Hawks are in the same division, right?

To show that a rebuild done well can beget a high chance of long term success?

Chicago is poised to be a powerhouse for the indefinite future.

I hope Cam Barker becomes available. He'd be a nice fixture for this team moving and the PP when Souray's time in Edmonton comes to an end.

Unless we've moved to the other side of the Mississippi, I think you mean conference.

Yes please, i've been preaching to the choir about getting him all year, exactly the type of player the Oilers need imo

I just think the thread in the Trade Rumours... forum is enough.

I get that Chicago is great, but I don't see why this has anything to do with the Oilers.

If the Oilers extend Gagner, Brule, etc. will we see a thread about that in the Chicago forum? I think not.

You would have to think that Chicago would try and move Campbell and Huet before trading someone like Barker or Sharp. You would have to think that a team like the Islanders, Dallas or Phoenix would take Huet or Campbell if they were packaged with a first round pick and some picks.

I'm not trying to be an ***. I'm just genuinely curious. I could understand if this directly affected the Oilers, but whatever. If you don't want to answer, that's fine.

In fairness to DSF, people always post other team's signings on the Oiler forum as an OT thread so this is nothing new

They'll have a good future, but I still question their goaltending. Huet is in no form to lead any team to the cup. They would of been better off with Khabby. And us with nothing.

I'm glad they're together to be honest. As long as we're not winning, at least Calgary and Vancouver will be getting bent over by these guys too

It will directly affect the Oilers for at least the next 5 years and probably longer.

There's a new dynasty being built in the WC and you can't win a cup without being better than and going through them.

The Oilers need to measure themselves against the Hawks or they aren't good enough.

Okay, odd, but okay. Are we flogging ourselves? See what they signed so and so far and look what we're paying Horcoff?

When the Hawks win the cup, then people can worry about measuring up against them. The Hawks haven't won yet. Maybe this is the year, maybe not. If you are just talking keeping up with them in the regular season, the Oil clearly aren't there yet. There is no Dynasty yet until some cups start rolling in.

Right now, the Oilers seriously just need to get back on the rails. How do they start? Hall, Seguin, or to a lesser extent Fowler.

Yep, that's the HFOiler way, we're a self loathing fanbase, it's a living.
