You would have to think that Chicago would try and move Campbell and Huet before trading someone like Barker or Sharp. You would have to think that a team like the Islanders, Dallas or Phoenix would take Huet or Campbell if they were packaged with a first round pick and some picks.
It will directly affect the Oilers for at least the next 5 years and probably longer.
There's a new dynasty being built in the WC and you can't win a cup without being better than and going through them.
The Oilers need to measure themselves against the Hawks or they aren't good enough.
When the Hawks win the cup, then people can worry about measuring up against them. The Hawks haven't won yet. Maybe this is the year, maybe not. If you are just talking keeping up with them in the regular season, the Oil clearly aren't there yet. There is no Dynasty yet until some cups start rolling in.
Right now, the Oilers seriously just need to get back on the rails. How do they start? Hall, Seguin, or to a lesser extent Fowler.
