Why is it that our smallest defender is also our most aggresive. Nice to know someone on the D cares. With Klesla out, it seems to be a dying breed on this team.

I know we're going to start hearing excuses about Klesla being out, but the fact is he's already surpassed the number of games he played last season. A season in which Backman played regularly on defense.

While the defensemen take most of the blame, I think the problem is just as much or more our forwards.

Seriously? Are you freaking serious? Where the hell is our defense? Commie, I do like you but dude you gotta stop being on the ice for so many goals. And they're pulling Mase? He's not really been at fault for tonight.

Did you see Commodore on that play?? I was trying to figure out what he was thinking or doing, but I couldn't come up with anything.

Not sure why Mason is being pulled. Maybe one goal was on him. Maybe Hitch just doesn't want to put him through what the defense has in store.

Um, I'm not impressed with the "D". Or lack thereof. If Hitch can't coach these players to play D, is a change in order? Just sayin'

And Portzline thinks Hitchcock hasn't lost the room.

Seriously, we're losing to Toronto. At home.

Are you kidding me?

I mean seriously. 5-1 against the LEAFS?

Fire the whole lot of 'em. Everybody. Bring the Crunch up to play in the NHL. They can lose 5-1 against the Leafs.

You and me both. *** putrid night for Commodore and the entire D corps so far. Mase had no help from the guys in front of him on at least 3 of the 4 goals he gave up.

At least the Crunch would put in some effort, and probably play better defensively. Sadly there's some truth to that.

Looked more like he was just incredibly soft on the puck.

Oh I don't blame Mase either, it's a total team collapse tonight.

Keep Russell, Klesla, Hejda and Roy. Trade everyone else on our NHL roster.

Pretty sad when we have our offense doing well and our D just lets the game go.

This is why you don't pull the goalie just because you want to "shake things up". Hitch did the same thing against the Rangers, and they scored 3 in a minute. You don't pull your goalie until he is playing poorly. I'm getting really sick of Hitchcock, his system just doesn't work with this roster. How far out of it are we going to have to be before a change is made?
