Nilsson actually has the talent to play like a 2nd Line Forward-one of the few on the team with hockey sense and puck skills. He just doesn't feel like using them...like ever.

Detroit can still win hands down with just Datsyuk and Zetterberg.

Oh, God no. I never joke. Joking is for the weak-minded.

Hey girlfraaaaaands, did you like Twilight? Isn't that Robert Patterson just a dream and a half?

Oh jebus sorry! With all the melodramatic moaning on these boards I thought I was at tigerbeat.com!

Oilers likely don't win this game. Detroit won't likely let the Oilers jump out to the kind of lead they got last time. But if they work hard and stay aggressive, then I'll be a happy hockey fan.

I dunno, I see him use his talents for a shift or two, then he's done and back to not caring. The boy lacks heart, definitely not skill.

Hey, its Pattinson. My 12yr old daughter would rip your heart out with her bare hands for besmirching his good name.

Shiny Vampires trying to undo everything that JK Rowling and her Harry Potter helped to do with kids.

I advise you as a parent to actually pay close attention to this Twilight stuff, because it's pretty awful, not just as literature, but in terms of the life lessons it's impressing.

My younger sister (38 yrs old) is a huge fan of the Twilight series, and it gives me no end of entertainment to torment her on this fact.

When I told her that her new multi-novel obsession could be broken down into exactly 2 sentences:

"My life sucks!"
"That pale guy is kind of cute!"

...her response? "Don't wreck it for me".

Hee hee.

Go Oilers.

As much as everybody (including me) is piling on and kicking them when they are rock bottom I still see a lot of positives. A lot players I like that can continue to grow. A couple blue chip prospects in the pipeline. Probably another next spring. lol

Best thing now is to judge our coaching staff. Lets see what these old boys are made of. If they can keep this team playing hard, improving both individually and as a team I'll be happy. If they lose the team and they quit, gripe or point fingers we will know that this season will truly be a write off.

And for the love of god find at least one scout that can spot goaltending talent. Either that or just quit drafting them altogether. lol Maybe Dubnyk.......

Didn't Delauriers have an impressive shut-out three games ago? I think it might be a bit early to write him off.

Honestly, the best thing would be to have JDD play a ton of games and get some experience under his belt. I think everyone knew Khabibulin was a 50-60 game tender at this point in his career. We need to see if another goaltender is needed for the coming years of if JDD can handle a bigger role.

Any word on the lines?

I would like to see this:

Penner - Brule - Nilsson
O'Sullivan - Horcoff - Stone
Moreau - Cogliano - Stortini
JFJ - Potulny - Gagner

Souray - Gilbert
Visnovsky - Smid
Staios - Strudwick

Switching Gagner & Nilsson if Nilsson isn't working out.

And why does Nilsson deserve any time in the top-6, let alone the topline? Hells no, Rowbear, can sit on the 4th line where he belongs until he's traded or waived.

Where are you going? Most hotels have free internet. It isn't always wireless internet. But like, I stayed in small towns up north like Manning and High Level. Both had internet in the rooms for free. Neither were wireless, and our room in High Level didn't have the lan cable in the wall, someone must have taken it.

If you don't have internet in your room, chances are there is a business centre downstairs which you can use.

I'm going to be on vacation. Searching down internet access so I can check in will not be high on my priority list right? If it happens, it happens. Also, places like Manning and High River are catering to their work travelling clientel. I'm if Fort Lauderdale and Tampa. Hotels.ca gave an indication as to what I can expect, but its not always right.

I think this game comes down to goaltending and I don't like our chances in that department. Howard is getting better for the Wings while JDD gives up too many bad goals. Of course the defence in front of him is terrible as well.
Anyways, the Oilers lose 4-2.
