Twitter told me that the lineup was up, I clicked on the link and I have to admit, I love the layout on the website.

Red Wings played like complete crap last time they played us and I'm never sure what to expect from them now.

I think a well rested Oiler squad takes it 5-3.

Unless the Wings show up this time then all bets are off..

I actually like this topline more with Hemsky not on it.

I think it will be a bit closer than we'd expect, but we still lose (at least for the sake of the dive for 5, I hope we do). 3-2 Detroit.

Didn't see that earlier. Guess I won't have to take over my brothers slingbox.

Retro (now home) Kurri sweater. If I'm on TV, let me know...I still have a great pic from Philadelphia last season

nice pic, but what's really crazy about it is that the Oilers actually have more goals than their opposition

Hemsky had 4 points in that 6-5 win.So with him out this game can be a lot different.

Channel 7 on Shaw and TELUS TV; 241 on Bell TV, 347 on Shaw Direct (Starchoice)

Hope this helps, I found it on the Oilers site.

The Oilers will win tonight. Do you know why? Because the team is a constant disappointment and need to get back to where they are comfortable in the standings: 11th in the west.

This is a 4 point conference game. Detroit has a game in hand and are 6 points ahead of the 'Oil. To date, this is the most important game of the season, in terms of being a playoff contender. A lose means this team can't compete and wholesale changes need to be made. Starting from the top and moving down the entire franchise. Another lose will signify just applying a bandage coaching solutions is not enough.

The injury, flu, weird sickness excuse does not apply because all good organizations can weather such adversity and still contend. Only bad organizations collapse under pressure. Please don't cite the man games lost or whine about the Hemsky injury. This organizations inability to effectively deals with these setbacks are but the real symptoms of a bad organizational culture. The Oilers sit in the last place in the Western Conference not just because they currently have a stable of ineffective players but because the stable that houses the players personnel has had for a very long time - very unstable foundations.

I would like to think the Oilers could and will win tonight in Detroit. I don't think they have enough collective will unless the hockey gods are being contary. Of course, if the NHL referees have (nod nod wink wink) their corrective visine vision in place, the Copper & Blue will just be assessed infractions in contrast given the relative franchise "gate" health of both organizations.

I'm entertaining the fact of enjoying a losing streak just to see exactly what it takes before something blows up.

Hearing that Gagner got into a slap fight with Gilbert would just make my day.
