Sounds like the mafia must be involved in this deal...

Come on man! Think about it for a second.

We are going to give you our number 1 center who is 27, who happens to be a ppg player, and GREAT defensively and on the PK
our best scoring winger outside of cammalleri,
and our future shutdown Dman, AND a 1st !

for horcoff(sure, let have the 2 worst center contracts in the league in horcoff and gomez)
nillson who could barely compete in the AHL
and visnovsky

WOW

They're going to waive ~12 million in cap? Somehow I don't think the habs would "want to make it work"...

Why does everyone suddenly have such a hard-on for Subban? Good player, not the superstar some here apparently think he is.

I was thinking something similar, but no way they tie up that much money in Horcoff and Gomez, too off the worst contracts in the NHL.

One should bear in mind that Horcoff appears to have chronic shoulder issues.

If his contract makes him tough to move his injury record should pretty much make it impossible.

Normally I don't mind Montreal, but with all the Habs fans' myopic trade ideas of late, my patience is beginning to wear thin. I don't see this trade happening, nor a trade taking place between the two clubs. We don't make good trading partners. Also, what is so great about O'Byrne? He is 25 and still hasn't cracked the NHL on a regular basis yet. We already have Plante and Bigos, who may well figure things out and make it by the time O'Byrne does.

No thanks.

Just because he's worth it, doesn't mean they'd get what he's worth.

We need to find a way to keep Lubomir and keep him happy until this team can compete again. He's worth it. He's elite.

I don't think he will make it through his current contract to be honest.

What is the point?

By the time the team is ready to compete, 3-5 years, he'll be 36-39 years old.

More reason to make proposals-to see if teams bite

That is what peaks my interest, if we lose Visnovsky, Hall or Seguin becomes a strong possibility but how would we replace Vis in the future, that's the tough part..... If this was Souray instead of Vis, i would be more interested personally.

Because having Lubo on this team would give us one good thing to watch from now until he retires/is traded/injured.

They might be able to compete before that if the right moves are made and 36-39 years old is not that old for defensemen who play Visnovsky's style.

Hall or Sequin will make up for it.......the Oilers have depth at D....especially once Chorney and Grebs get back...Peckham gets back in shape.............then we still have Petry..Plante and Motin coming in the next 2 yrs....

would like to see Souray moved for a pick and prospect as well

Lubo would be one of the last guys on this team I would trade, and certainly not for the Brothers Karamazov. I think he has a number of very good years in front of him.
