Stone can't make THAT much difference to this team, can he?

Way to ruin the dive for top 5, this team can't do anything right!

Stone IS the x factor. He even got Nilsson to play good!

Nice game for O'Sullivan tonight as well. Took some hits to make some plays and got rewarded for it.

No.

The Wings were dreadful, particularly Howard.

Great road game and win from the Oilers. They didn't give the Wings much of anything, even when they were able to sustain offensive pressure. Off the rush, they gave them nothing at all.

Oilers made the Wings look 'dreadful'. Credit to the Oilers.

....and learn to fly again, learn to live so free-ee-eeeeeee.

Great game for the Oilers, no panic in the 3rd. I wish I could believe they could maintain this play. They have a pretty decent sked coming up this month and play like that could get them back with the pack.

No way at this point I am going to get my hopes up though.

Looks like Smid got banged up in the 3rd. I hope it wasn't serious.

Ha, nice title.

Every goal was scored while I was away from my computer, so I missed every one.

I won't disagree.

What you saw tonight was two teams with below average defense and inconsistent goaltending.

beat me to it.

now we will go on a mediocre tear and end up in 10th in the West, to miss the playoffs and miss the elite talent in the draft.

now that's Oilers hockey!

by 3 people. HF Oilers doesn't have anything to talk about when the Oilers are playing well. This site will get shut down if we ever start winning

I doubt it's anything. Soon after that he decimated a Wing who, for a moment, had a pretty good scoring chance. It was a fantastic play by Smid, who finished +3, by the way.

You know what? Props to Gagner for doing a pretty good job against Zetterberg for most of the night. He played him hard and even went 5 for 7 in the faceoff circle against him.

WOW!!!!!!

Wasn't that a thing of beauty. That first period was magic. Except for the Staios brain pfft at the end of it. But they didn't let that slow them down either. Good on em. Great effort all around.

Cudos to the coaches. That is exactly what you want to see after a break. Good energy. Determined work effort. Better execution. They even did the right thing moving Staios down to the third pairing. I could just kiss that big leprechaun Patty O'Quinn.

Renewed faith.

Impressive, very impressive. Nilsson's goal was one of the nicest I've seen in a while, and the 4th line was outstanding tonight.

I sort of at a loss for words, because it's just such a dominant complete victory.

Man ... Cogs needs to break out of his funk quick ... I feel so bad seeing him use his speed and then hit a stick on EVERY pass.
