Soooo, who thinks Snider had more to do with this than Homer? It'd be interesting to know how much Homer's head is on the chopping block as well.

I think Laviolette would be a great fit for the Flyers.

I always love that South Park reference lol. But yeah, maybe Laviolette can turn the Flyers around?

As an Oilers fan as well as Flyers fan I always felt MacT was made a scapegoat for the lack of talent they had. The real problem was always Kevin Lowe.

Hmm, I don't follow the Oil enough to know either way, I will say I loved his quote when he joined TSN.

Peter Laviolette? Anyone know what kind of system he coaches?

Ed Snider is a huge Craig MacTavish fan.
Beware.

Not sure how I feel about Laviolette and his no fighting policy. I'd like MacT myself.

does it matter... the key word... "system" is in there... that should be enough...
right Flyers fans??
man... I been calling for his head last year, and the year before... he is a horrible coach...about time...
this IS a cup team and the flyers have the depth, the talent to win it all...now hopefully they can get a coach to get that done...
I say Laviolette or MacT

Well, he won a Stanley Cup on the basis of a bunch of guys nobody wanted, combined with a few former Flyers, and managed to win a Stanley Cup before the Hurricanes went back in the tank.
Whoever it is needs structure and discipline. Laviolette will be into structure and discipline. I'm not so sure Carcillo and Hartnell will excel under Laviolette unlike with Stevens.

One thing for sure is the Flyers roster is 10x better than what MacTavish had on the Oilers and the last time MacT had Prongs he took him to game 7 of the SCF.

I love how CSN is making a big deal that Timmeh P "broke" the story. He works for the same organization...it would be shocking if he didn't break the story.
