Staios is the stupidest hockey player I've ever had to watch. He just stares at the puck and it just pulls him all over the ice no matter where he should be playing. And of course he always helps out by laying on the ice pretending he's a shot blocker while our net is being filled.

Please, just get rid of him already. I don't care how well liked and how much of a warrior he is. He is a brtual player.

What a pathetic performance in the first.

1st goal is on Gagner. The idiot lets the Star walk around him. What does he do though? He glides behind him with his mouth guard half hanging out and fixes his glove. What a reject.

How does the 2nd goal start? Unlike the Oilers soft and passive defensive system, Nilsson gets the puck and a Star is just all over him aggressively. Puck goes down the other end and the Stars own the Oilers as usual in the zone and get one in.

I don't get why the Oilers play such a passive system back there. I hate the collapsing stuff all the time. They give the Stars all day to find a man getting open.

Men against Boys so far.

Another thing is the PP. Some of the dumb decisions made by this team are just hilarious. The veterans as well. Why throw it to Souray way by the blue line for a one timer? He shouldn't be shooting it with no shooting lane.

I think he would get outworked/ outmuscled by Canada's Women's Olympic team at this point.

This team needs more size. I wouldn't shed a tear if Gagner was gone for a good top 6 player with good size.

You see it again and again. The battle level is just not there with this team. It's the same players and its inherent in their personalities. A team can have one or two guys like that on their team, but we have an absolute plethora of guys who just don't fight hard enough for the puck.

We need to unload some of them now.

lol at the coaching list. Tom Renney is up for head coach for another team? Does that guy not realize he is on the Oilers bench right now?

Mike Millbury? Seriously??

That about sums it up. One of the brutal teams of the '90s with no skill would beat the living sh** out of this team in toughness and score.

Is it just me or is there something really off-putting with Cogliano's attitude?

The frightening thing to me though is who to get rid of? Who is the next Ray Whitney, who is the next Satan? Is it a short time gain for a long term maim?

Notice Gags's stats say he chooses not to hit but Brule chooses to hit. Sam gives the puck away too often as well. Small players with small heart are not worth having.

The dressing room is deflated. They know they don't have a competitive team right now.

The one thing I noticed was that he said "we are trying to do anything we can to score, or at least I am." Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I don't think Cogs is happy with his linemates.

So your only criteria for "heart" is hitting?

It's just getting to the point where I think the team has so many problems, I don't know where to start in terms of solving them. I would start with trying to shed away the lazy players and try to get more guys like Stone.

Basically, guys with more heart, drive, and determination.

I also think Cogs is a little upset about the line he's on. He's one of the few guys on this team that actually skates and looks like he tries his hardest.
