I'd like to see Z&D so something productive, I'm sick of arguing about which goalie sucks more while nobody ever scores any goals, at all. Usually I'd cry about Flip needing to step up, but I can't. I need another beer. Nice work by Abdelkader, nicer turnover by Leino.

Agreed. It really says something that Draper, Helm, Abdelkader, and Miller are spending more time in the offensive zone that Hank and Datsyuk. Yes, those two are facing the tougher competition, but they're also worlds more talented than our bottom 6.

Yep, We've all taken our dominance for granted anyway. It's a great year to find out who the REAL Red Wing fan's are. YES DRAPER SCORES.

If we lose every game the rest of the year, I will still be a die hard Red Wings fans and pray for the demise of their competition.

1 goal game, lets GO

Stick Helm in the top 6. His speed alone is creating chances.

Because he is Homer, and he is Brodeur, and the refs want to keep their jobs so they follow instructions.

Draper, Homer and Matlby on the first line. They're the only ones producing.

Bert-Helm-Cleary? I think in the healthy future our 3rd line should be bert-helm-miller

I was thinking that the other day. Not Miller on the 3rd but Bertuzzi - Helm - X.

The replacements are not retards, they are supposed to be able to play hockey and have played in the NHL for a lot of years, so no, it is not a breath of fresh air seeing our best players lack any passion and dedication. It's insulting to the fans to play like this and I could see Holmstrom at that intermission interview and he doesn't have that fighting spirit anymore, he does not know what the **** is happening.

You seem to be happy that we are doing **** so we can get a draft pick or something but I am not going to tolerate a whole season of this bull****. I don't want to be taught a lesson on how the other teams had to struggle to improve and be competitive. I am not from Michigan, so becoming a fan of the Red Wings was not because I am from the area or my family supports them. I became a fan because they were such a dominant team with excellent players and successful year in year out.

The other teams can keep Taylor Hall and John Tavares, we can be successful without them. We have done it for the past decade, we can do it now.
Meh, I'm not happy with the **** that's going on, but I have to accept the fact that this team is garbage right now, and probably will be all season. Just shake my head, laugh a bit, enjoy the rest of the NHL, applaud the development of rookies, and hey, if we get a top 10 pick, I'm not going to cry. For me it's all about next year, so much dead weight off the books, a year for our rookies, throw in a top 10 pick, I'm happy as a hare!

If I acted like I used to, because I was so emotionally caught up in this team and freaked if they lost, I'd probably be dead by now.

This is hockey, not the ned of the world. If the Wings players don't want to step up, like Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Bert, Cleary, that's ok. They're the players.

Anyway, I find it hilarious how Marky and Matty think they know everything about the development of NHL players. Really, you guys must be scouts. You can predict where Helm, Abby, Ericsson, Howard, Larsson, McCullom, etc are going to end up in their careers ?? That is HILARIOUS!!

Howards a ROOKIE posting GOOD NUMBERS for a ROOKIE on a piss poor team defensively.

Larsson is in the AHL right now and hasn't even had a chance to show what he can do.

McCollum is like 19!!

Helms is 23 playing in the role he was drafted for. WTF else do you want?

Abby is young and will probably still develop more.

Big Rig has disappointed so far, but he's shown he can play an offensive role, there is something in that.

Honestly, you guys have to stop looking so ignorant because you simply can't make any rational arguments against Howard, other than he's sucked against the Oilers, or any of the other players you've so greatly "scouted". Howards posted good numbers, 2.67 and .906, thats great for a rookie. Too bad Osgood looks like trash.

Oh, and Helm gets a point. Funny his line is the only one scoring.

Well here is what i was thinking at 2pm, doesn't have to be Miller but I have liked what he's done. no goal looks like ericsson made a glove pass :p

I dunno why, but I'd like to see something like Bert-Helm-Miller...I just see Helm rushing in and failing, and Bertuzzi and Miller cleaning up in the madness that follows.

Ericsson is a -3 tonight, a -7 on the season, and has been on the ice for 37 goals against this year.

Thats on pace to be on the ice for 117 goals on the season.

That said, I don't know why I expect Ericsson to be anything other than an AHLer when Datsyuk looks like an average 2nd liner. If that.

Are you talking about me? Cuz I am not a scout, but I have met EJ McGuire a few times.
