Detroit got smoked 4-1 on Thursday against Edmonton, and lost again tonight in Jersey.

They are beatable this season.

Well ofc, but both Datsyuk and Zetterberg have been a step behind so far this season. And with all those key-players out, I'd really like to get another W before we head out to Chicago.

Let's hope Gaborik gets out of his goal scoring slump, im starting to get disappointed

Here's to a great one.

If the defense played like last night and Lundy is on then I predict
4-1 (empty netter)

Gaborik, Ansimov, Drury, Boyle (emptynetter )

Red Wings haven't been able to score, so lets hope they don't break out of that slump and despite being put on the first line Ville Leino has done jack squat.

I met with Ulf Nilsson today in Manhattan and he will be at the Game chanting Potvin Sucks ! w/ 150 of his Swedish friends, who are in town to see Zetterberg and Lundqvist.

If you see Ulfie give him a high five !

any word on who's starting in goal for Detroit? Jimmy Howard has been getting a lot of starts as of late, and Osgood played last night..

Is there a chance 85 plays tonight? Hope not. Chad should make his debut against a team like Carolina or the Maple Laughs.

Might be able to catch the end of this game, but I have a game of my own in Brooklyn at like 6:30.

Especially with our defense.

But the rest of their offensive lineup is just crap. Injuries have not been nice to them this season.

No reason to lose this. Wings are icing an AHL caliber team with all of those injuries. and their good players that are playing are in significant slumps.

I think forechecking will be the name of the game. With their injuries on defense they need to pressure their defense and capitalize on their shaky goaltending.

This. Puck possession is how the Red Wings have been so successful throughout recent years. If you watch some of their games (not this season, I haven't gotten a chance to watch them) they win the games by puck possession. They usually have control of the puck more then other teams.
