Randy Carlysle is a moron for not having the Senators shoot first.

Well, the good news is that the road trip from hell is over for another year. We didn't kill our season, we just have to play some good hockey.

Elliott had some very nice key saves in the third actually.

Happy for the team and happy for Elliot

That 3rd period save helped win that game.

Other than those nice saves in the 3rd to even get it to OT?

This is how the team and Elliott had to win. Battle.

Agree, he definitely came up big in the third. Rough start, good finish, good for him (and us).

Clearly its obvious CC doesn't pick the shooters cause his paper would read:

1.Shannon
2.Shannon
3.Shannon

"Huh why can't he shoot 3 times?"

Carkner I guess, he got a shot early, threw off Parros and then they went down seconds later. wasn't much of one.

He was excellent in the overtime... I have no problems with him on the team, but ideally we can trade for a vet and have Karlsson line up against 3rd-4th liners.

Kuba-[acquisition]
Phillips-Volchenkov
Carkner-Karlsson

Extras:
Picard, Campoli, Lee

Dude, this was clearly not Elliott's best game. He made a few nice saves in the third but he lost us the lead twice almost on his own.

I'd never like to have most of you guys on my team as you give up before they even start the shootout.
Are you guys REALLY SENS fans???

Yeah, and I never said it was, so not sure what you're arguing with me for. I said he made nice saves in the 3rd to get it to OT, which is true. Not his best game at all, but I'm sure he'll take the win and hopefully can gain some confidence.

Him and the team battled hard tonight despite some bad luck. Good way to end the trip.
