This year, Kipper.

Since these polls always come down to what have you done for me lately, it is of no surprise to me that Kipper is winning. I personally feel Henrik is the better goaltender but this year, there is no question as to whom is having the better year. It's Kipper.

Gotta be Kipper. I love Henrik, he's been great for us since his rookie season, but the last 2+ seasons he really has not been elite. Kipper struggled immensely the last couple years as well, but seems to be back to form. Both in terms of career accomplishments and this current year it's hard not to go with Mikka. If Henrik can get some consistency, and work on his glove hand he has the potential to be better, but as of right now I think he's overrated and only considered elite because of his first 2 seasons in the league, rather than his 3 most recent ones.

Kiprusoff is the best goalie in the world (well Brodeur wants to say hi but i stand on my opinion). He can just be so hard to beat. Watch out for the Flames in the playoffs!

Lundqvist is a close second though. Elite goalie.

Is that why Miller is a country mile ahead of both of them statistically?

Miller has only allowed 3 or more goals in 5 games out of 24 games started (4 or more goals allowed in 2 out of 24 games).

Lundy has allowed 3 or more goals in 13 of 24 starts (4 or more in 5 of 24 starts). That is elite? So more than half the games he has started his team needed to score 4+ goals in order to win.

Kipper has allowed 3 or more in 10 of 26 starts ( 4 or more in 2 games). Better than Lundy but still a far cry from Miller's year so far.

The better comparison is Miller vs. Kipper and I still think it is a landslide in Millers favor.

Look at the freaking defense in front of both teams. Calgary has an absolutely stacked team defensively, buffalo's backbone is a 19 year old rookie.
