No, the Loser point is keeping them from being mathematically out right now.

I'm not sure this rumor makes any sense, but...

The Coyotes are talking trade with the Canucks, Shane O'Brien is most likely the one being talked about and the Canucks like Peter Mueller.
Is Sauer done for?

Wasn't this the "insider" who reported Tanguay to Phoenix as a done deal?

LOL? This is the dumbest trade rumor ever. Why would the Yotes do this when they said they wanted to keep Meuller? We dont need guys that score on their own net

No, but of similar authority. That was some guy with a blog. This is some guy with a Twitter account.

I vaguely remember this guy misreporting some Coyotes rumor a few months ago, but I can't remember what it was.

I would not be the slightest bit ****ing happy if they traded Mueller for Shane O'Brien.

Well, if O'Brien is all they can get for Mueller they sure as **** should not be trading him.

And O'Brien is no replacement for Sauer.

I posted another "tweet" from him recently about Dustin Brown being on the block.

I'd rather get Sundin out of retirement halfway through the season before we get O'Brien.

All i can say is that I'm hopeful we actually pick up a legitimate scorer at the deadline. That has been our main problem for many years, we haven't had a consistent sniper. Look at all of the teams in the NHL, it seems that on every roster, there is a player that is known for goal scoring and nothing else. Phoenix doesn't have that. I mean we have Doan, yes, but he focuses on being more of an all around player to help the team when needed. We need someone that can go out there, get some goals, and create excitement. We have enough secondary scoring which most came from last years deadline (the best we've had in years IMO) now it's time for some top line guys.
If not the deadline, then I will hope to grab one(possibly 2.. ) in July

I'm guessing one was aping the other, though I have no idea upon which that would reflect more poorly.

What about some help for on C guys?

Probably won't happen, but let's say Plekanec doesn't want to sign a new contract and that the Habs look like they're out of contention, would you consider something like:

Lombardi
Mueller
Tikhonov

vs

Plekanec
3rd rounder (?)

Pleks almost has twice as many points as your first scorer right now.
Lombardi's a UFA this year as well.
Mueller looks like he needs a change of scenery.
Tikhonov is a great prospect, but Pleks remains a very good top-line center who'd improve any of your wingers instantly.

I had to check my calendar to make sure it's not April 1st. Best laugh out loud moment for me since watching the Hangover the other night.

wow. well when you put it that way we'd be crazy not to make that deal (note sarcasm).

Here's an update. We're 12 games over 0.500 right now and playing very well. Phoenix sits in 5th spot in the NHL as of this morning.

Outrageous deal. Take away the 3rd rounder from of Montreal's, and it makes it closer.

We should probably work Hanzal and Doan in there too somehow. Maybe that will make keeping the 3rd rounder in there fair.
