Remind me by the way tomorrow to sneak in the Flyers locker room with a blowtorch, and torch Carter's curve and close the face so the ****er doesn't keep shooting so ****ing high.

Exactly, considering they're in a rut and trying to implement a radically different system, anyone expecting nirvana out of the gate is just retarded.

I thought they did a lot of stuff really well, I thought they had great pressure in the offensive zone and good pressure in the d-zone as well. Both of MTL's first 2 goals came from breakdowns that come from implementing a new system (forwards got mixed up and Coburn took a dump on both) and the 3rd goal was essentially unstoppable.

MTL has obviously embraced that they're a defensive team and played extremely defensively tonight. We need to learn how to generate chances from sustained offensive zone possession since we haven't had sustained offensive zone possession for the last 3 years.

I thought there was a lot of progress tonight, sure there's stuff to still be worried about, but there was progress.

He was.

He pulls of the toe drag twice in his career and all the sudden he's Datsyuk.

Whatever happened to blue collar Richards? I miss the #18 from 07-08, played like a madman the whole year and he won us over as the favorite to become captain. He's trying way too hard to be a sniper or...please don't hurt me....Crosby.

Hartnell is my pick. Carter would kill us. Hartnell I can deal with trading.

The thing is, Carter had a few decent shots tonight. He is probably a goal away from reigniting his offense.

Hartnell just seems so ... idk ... lost. Maybe he could find his way ... on the Kings.

Lets all remeber Lavy has NO time to coach this team either he has to do it bits at a time and during games due to the schedule. This is the worst case scenerio but they will rebound, I expect it to take a couple weeks. Yes itll probally cost them valuable points, but they have the talent, and if the get the system quickly, the time to make the playoffs.

Does Hartnell even get positioned in front of the net anymore? It seems he is just skating around like a fool.

Richards def was invisible.

I actually thought Carter had a better game tonight than in recent memory.

Definitely seemed like there is a system now which made me happy. I liked the forecheck but we didn't take advantage of turnovers.

The team played better... but christ we cant get a bounce or a shot on net. I'm trying to be patient but we are approaching the 1/2 way mark and finding ourselves further and further out.

How much longer do we have to get it together?

If a trade is made to improve this team this year, these 2 are pretty much the only 2 we have to trade, so I agree that one of the 2 will be gone packaged with Coburn or Carle. Sad that it has come to this

Hartnell honestly looks like he has lost any skill he has ever had. Every pass is a ****ing rocket at someones stick. He has no creativity. I can hear him saying, "What the **** is that black circle on my stick?"

I'm afraid Hartnell and Coburn get us Frolov and Jack Johnson and then we really do become vageens.

The thing that bugs me the most is that we've got 3 goals in 4 games, and 12 goals in 8 games. That's pathetic. Even a slumping side should be scoring more than that by default.

I have really been noticing how bad Hartnell is when ever he is doing anything that requires skill. When he is skating the puck up the ice or attempts to make a pass, he is just FAILING.

Carter is paid to play hockey. This team is snakebit right now, so is Carter, the best thing you can do while you're snakebit is up your play in other aspects of the game which is what he did tonight.

Right now Carter's shooting percentage is 7.6 which is simply amazingly unlucky for someone with his shot, sometimes the pucks just don't go in for you. I mean, if Carter has a 12.0 shooting percentage (he had 13.5 last year, 11.2 the year before), he's on pace for 43 goals right now as opposed to 25 or so, guys get hot, guys get cold, it's just a fact of life.

Learn to accept it instead of just crying all the time and give him some damn credit for raising other parts of his game to compensate.

I'll tell you all the same thing I told my friend.

If you find out Coburn's address, let me know. I will **** in a box and send it to him overnight. Hopefully that gets the point across.

Im giving them a month or 2 before i give up the season. that should be enough time to get acclimated to Lavy's system, make a move if needed, and regain confidence. Remember the Penguins were 5 points out in mid februrary when they fired therrien and we all knowwhat they did. I beleive.
