The two hottest teams in the west, at the moment. Phoenix is on a four game streak, while Minnesota has won five in a row.

Another tough one...Backstrom always is good against the Yotes. Both teams with momentum means it should be a good tough game.

What would it take to pry Koivu from the Wild at the deadline assuming the Wild are out of it & the Yotes are still in the race?

Mueller, Calgary's 1st + ?

I'm not sure if the ? would need to be something as valuable as Boedker, something cheap like Ross or Staal, or something in the middle like Porter or MacLean.

Koivu has another year of cap hit at $3.25, and fits Maloneys age/reasonable contract criteria. He's in his prime, his ppg have risen each year, and he's currently scoring at a ppg clip this season.

Koivu is the best offensive weapon that team has, and by a lot. I don't think he's on the table.

Agreed. Not only that he is their best defensive player to. I don't think a Selke is out of the question for him in the near future. Plus with Minnesota opening up their offensive game, I'd say his offensive production will likely increase dramatically. One of the best all 3 zone players in the league right now. If we were asking for him, we better be ready to offer the likes of Turris, Boedker, and Mueller easily.

I'd give them Turris Boedker and Meuller for Koivu in a heartbeat. He's well worth it and going to be a stud. Even for all that I dont know if that would pry him off their hands.

Here's my best guess:

Doan - Lang - Mueller
Upshall - Lombardi - Boedker
Prucha - Hanzal - Vrbata
Pyatt - Fiddler - Winnik

It's going to be a tomb in there tonight. Monday night game, Minnesota and it's raining. Oh well, I'll be there and I hope the Yotes put the smackdown on the Wild!

"We won last night but I wasn't real happy with the way we played," Coyotes Head Coach Dave Tippett said Sunday, about 12 hours after his team's 3-2 triumph over Ottawa. "We're going to have to play much better... We had some soft plays here and there... I think our team is better than that."

Tippett also noted that his team's lack of a killer instinct - it led Ottawa by three goals in the third period - disturbed him.
Hearing that Tippet is upset about soft plays and a lack of a killer instinct, I'm just a bit confused why he inserts Mueller into the lineup?

I wonder if Boogard will be in the lineup?

Lets keep this winning streak going tonight Yotes. And who better to beat then Minnesota, the state that is still feeling the effects of the beat down last night dealt by the Cards.

Totally agree. I put him in the same category as Patrick Kaleta. Guys I would love to see get their butts beat.

Let's get a sellout with the Minnesota fans and make them feel miserable with another loss to an Arizona team.

The more we win now the more cushion we have for later. Every game is going to get tougher, let's win this one since we have our rivals from the land of shallowness and plastic up after, SJ and LA.

I'm leaving early to beat some of this traffic with the rain.

C'mon now, just how short are your memories....

Does anyone remember the last Sunday Night Football game the Cards won and who they beat?

Do you remember the score against the NHL team from the same city the Coyotes played the following day?

I don't want to be like Redwing fans....Let's just hope the team plays well...I don't care about the other city or their fans.
