Never mind his departure and return were both at the same time as most of the other players getting injured.

This is a real canard. He's not chopped liver, but he's not Sidney Crosby, either.

He's never been a starting tender and played so few games yesterday.. he will need his rest or we will risk burning him out...

Coincidence or not, there is no arguing that Stone brings what the Oilers need: physicality, stability, and intelligence on the ice. That nice little kick pass to Storts for the goal was just smart hockey...great to see him back in the lineup and making a difference.

Only 6 minutes of ice time, and he comes away from an apple and +2. Beauty.

Anyways. Good win and I am really liking this 4th line.
Yep, and he made a similar play earlier in the year that ended up costing the team. He just doesn't learn from his mistakes--he displays the same errors over and over and over.

Don't worry, as we win more and more, we will see that guy less and less. Another wonderful byproduct of winning.

Kinda strange since he says he's an Oiler fan

good win by the oilers, hopefully the massive temperature shift when they arrive back in edmonton doesn't make this team loose its fire +23 to -17/-18

JDD awesome again!
That hedman goal was a tough one to give up but I agree. The team also limited the scoring chances as well and there have been 3 guys who I have absolutely fallen in love with. Stortini, Jaques and Stone. They are just mean. Also Bobby has really matured overall as a player.

Also one thing to note. The oilers are not getting enough scoring chances imo. They are capitalizing on the few chances they have but the offensive zone plays need to be more crips imo. Best offensive forward for us the past 4 games has been Bobby Nilsson and with 3 forwards getting paid more than him thats not enough.

WOW 4 in a row on this road trip, some of the wins against good teams... Awesome!!!!

The captain almost cost us at the end, he just forgot the puck and kept skating, and JDD was terrific especially in the third when we looked to run out of gas.
O'Sullivan needs to get better, he was pretty awful for the most part
Tommy G is starting to play like we all thought he was capable of, no more Tammy. The refs fooked us big time in this one but it was great to get those penalty kills despite the questionable calls.
Great Win, we are close to being right there in the playoff race, still some work to do but we're getting there.

There is no correlation, but it's true that #32 brings what the team sorely lacked during his time out of the lineup.

The fact that no one was brought in to replace him during that time is unfathomable.

They aren't talented enough to beat teams with soft, perimeter play. The only way is to have some guys who don't mind getting their noses dirty. Losing JFJ and Stone was monumental to this team.

This is the Pat Quinn effect.

Also, people were saying we needed to basically be like Nashville - I'm not going to say anything more but we're halfway there.
