What is mind boggling is why Moreau continues to get important minutes at the end of the game, he is truly a fringe player at this point with the ground hog day mistakes....

I've got about 3.8M reasons to say 'yes.'

I believe this game shows exactly what Quinn means by "bend but not break."

They had some turnovers, but recovered.

Stortini and Stone took some stupid penalties, but their teammates bailed them out.

The players ran out of gas in the third, but their goaltender saved their bacon.

As was stated earlier, this is the Pat Quinn effect. He has the right guys buying in at this point and it's paying off. Great secondary scoring tonight and a solid performance from JDD.

That's a big time effort by the Oilers, a bit of a sloppy start, then really kept it safe and aggressive the rest of the night. They should have had at least one more goal, as Smith was a gong show handling the puck, and they had a couple posts there.

Feels good to see them tough it out, hope they can keep it rolling! Wooo!

This is a real canard. He's not chopped liver, but he's not Sidney Crosby, either.
The Canards are having a terrible season.

The homers doing the stats missed about 4 of Stone's hits but the Official Three Stars picker selected #32 as 2nd Star behind Storts as Numbero Uno Gordy hat trick - Howe gritty can these two guys play...?!?

ROFL. Ecklund rumour. Now reporting that he might get the go ahead to report a rumour either tonight or tomorrow that there is a big trade coming up involving a "NY area" team and a Canadian team.

Sorry, had to share because it just made me laugh. The vagueness is astounding. Maybe tomorrow I might be able to report a possible rumour that perhaps might maybe lead to something in the near future but I can't say what it is because I promised somebody I wouldn't report it just yet.

How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Yeah, theres a reason why they earned their spots on this team out of training camp. Losing them and Souray was almost all of our toughness. We are a different team with them back, and its showing.

Also one thing to note. The oilers are not getting enough scoring chances imo. They are capitalizing on the few chances they have but the offensive zone plays need to be more crips imo. Best offensive forward for us the past 4 games has been Bobby Nilsson and with 3 forwards getting paid more than him thats not enough.
I'm pretty sure that went off of Visnovsky's stick. I didn't notice it until the replay, but I'm pretty positive there was a slight tip--I think it was heading wide or perhaps post without the tip.

I could be wrong.

He's heard the rumblings, and read the writing on the wall. He knew he had to step it up and has. Good for him.
