Definitely ebay is the way. Craigslist has a small selection but I've bought some choice jerseys off of ebay. Also, flea markets in the San Jose area have some good finds. DeAnza College has a flea market the first Saturday of every month and I've seen some good deals there every now and then.
watch out for knockoffs on ebay. Lots of people sell cheap jerseys from China that are made with fabric remnants from making the proper ones. They end up being misshapen, with incorrectly sized or placed patches and terrible numbering/lettering if it has that too.
