moncton has made great steps and have greatly improved there team. i still wonder what is gonna happen with the rocket i've heard they are selling but i dont think the organization can afford to sell they've built a core for this year and i think we half to go out and acquire played not sell them off but thats my 2 cents worth

yeah i heard allen is a no go either but than i hear cousineau is going there which would be good for the dogs..i really hope one of the atlantic division teams do some adding so they can contend with the cats like i siad earlier it would be nice for the rocket to add 2 more skilled forwards and a tough shut down d-man but i guess it aint gonna happen

As much as I am scared that management will do nothing, I love the idea of them refusing to announce anything until later. That way, if they decide to go for it all and grab Allen, Scandella, and Adam (and only announce it after the World Juniors are over), nobody can respond properly without making some incredibly bad trades. Not that I think we'll end up with Scandella or Adam (though they would both be sweet).

That would be absolutely horrible from a Saint John POV even without Gelinas involved. Phillips and Gauthier should be able to net a Cousineau all by themselves (or similar goalie), and this deal had us throwing in another 17 year old in MacAuley and upgrading their 3rd to a 2nd. At that price, I'd take Gelinas every day of the week.

That's not a rumour, it's a BS post from an inexperienced poster. Could be you for all I know.

While conceivably Cousineau could become a Dog, at this point I think there's just as much possibility that Allen does find his way to the Port City or that Gelinas stays to finish what he started.

Christ there is no way anything close to that happens. He was dealt for a 1st rounder at the start of the year and only a 1st rounder. There is no way we give up that much for him.

Looks like a PEI fan has a make believe Seadog website.

Yes last year with Drummondville.

He also won top goalie of the Memorial Cup.

Marco Cousineau was good for Drummondville, but didn't need to be great. Their team was really good with puck control and didn't give up many chances in their own end. People thought Cousineau might not have been fit for the Memorial Cup, but ended up performing very well against Windsor in particular. I guess he is a pretty big piece for the Rocket this season and would be a solid overage goaltender for the Sea Dogs. His experience would be beneficial in my opinion and if Gelinas stayed, Saint John might have one of the best goalie tandems in the league. But the return of Nicola Riopel to Moncton will make it hard for Saint John to match in net.

Saint John's offer is likely Durepos, a 1st and Despres at the draft.

Durepos was the 1st round pick of the Dogs this past year. 17 year old defender who has played well this year.

Interesting blog from J-F Plante (Le Droit - in french) : http://blogues.cyberpresse.ca/plante/?p=107

So, Gatineau would announce soon a big trade with Val D'Or that would send 3 Olympiques to Foreurs in return of 4 players (3 of them would play this season with Gatineau and we know one of them : D Ben Lecomte). And in january, Piques' will announce another trade with Rouyn-Noranda.
