just how good is Durepos after all Allen is the second best goalie in the Q and one of the best in the CHL so is there a lot of goalies out there or like a lack of suitors cause id kinda like to see the juniors rob whatever team that trades for him because i think they could make a run next year but again im not a hardcore fan so im not sure who's supposed to contend next but is tht the most Allen can get ?

Here is the thing. Every contender has a top end goalie except for Saint John and possibly Quebec. Saint John and Montreal may have had a deal in place earlier, but I think Saint John realized they were bidding against themselves. Now Montreal cant afford not to deal him for the future since they have no shot this year to win, but they still need to get a good haul back for him since he is the best goalie in the Q.

Thats where they are at now imo. I personally think after seeing all these deals that Moncton has done, Saint John will be adding 2 stars. One in net (Allen,Couisneau) and either a stud d-man (Scandella) or another forward(a few left).

I really hope they can work out a deal for Allen.

Well Durepos was a 1st rounder and looks very solid, but he is on the best team in the Q. He doesnt dominate or anything but most rookies dont. He is a very valueable young player though.

I don`t believe that Val D'or is looking to sell, at the news out of Gatineau is that Delisle has been traded to Rouyn-Noranda. If both these statements are true (not saying they are), does anyone think that Eric Gelinas could be traded?

thanks i wasnt sure y he wasn't getting that much because its my understanding that the Sea Dogs have so many assets that it was the Juniors choice but i dont know who thoose guys are i no that despres is one of the best d-man in the Q and that the first was a low one seeeing as how that price is too high i noticed that they have another first round guy on their roster Hurberdeau would an of like Huberdeau,Durepos and 1st and maybe a conditional 2nd if Allen comes back next year for Allen and Stich/Genest/Wall work ? sorry if the values off ive only seen the juniors play 3 times and Allen twice this year against lewiston he was okay (home opener) last year i saw him against Drummondville i haven t seen Stich play but im just curios if this deal could help the juniors contend this next year or in 2012 but thanks for the info on the goalies situation

So Saint John had a news conference scheduled for today and it got cancelled at the last moment. Rumor is thye had an annoucement for a trade for Cousineau. So one of two things MTL called and lowered their asking price or SJ called MTL and said we are going to get Cousineau unless you lower your asking price. Or it is just the dotting of i's and crossing of t's to finsih that actual trade up Who the hell knows though LOL!!!!

If St-John gets Cousineau, Mtl may have painted themselves into a corner. I think the only other option may be Quebec, and that is a big maybe.

I honestly believe we will end up with Allen, the reason i think the deal is not done is becaus eSaint John wants Wall in the package and that is the only way it happens, if not we get Cousineau..... and go else were for a DMAN (Gelinas - from Lewy) and then another top 6 forward.

I guess we can classify PEI as sellers this season. That is a pretty big dump of talent with Champagne and Doyle leaving, but they're older players. Bonneau is a pretty good veteran and I saw him in action last night. PEI definitely got some good draft picks in return and hopefully this will help over the next few seasons. Victoriaville is looking more and more dangerous with each trade. Champagne and Doyle will definitely be huge contributors and help put this team in a spot to compete with Moncton and Saint John. I guess losing two in a row to Lewiston makes you think twice about the team you have.

The Piques are not done trading. They'll sell Steven Delisle to the highest bidder.

RDS announces the Cousineau trade to Saint John

http://www.rds.ca/lhjmq/chroniques/288942.html

Marco going to Saint John in return of 4 picks.

Allen could be traded to Cape Breton with Alex Wall in return of Roy, Shaw, picks and Francis Meilleur at the draft

Lagace also rumored to go to Cape Breton

I think Saint John is better off with Cousineau because the trade with Allen would have cost too much. The tandem of Gelinas and Cousineau will be good enough, especially with Cousineau's recent Memorial Cup experience. PEI is going to have tons of picks in the next two drafts and could be an incredible team a few years down the line if everything goes to plan. Seems like Cape Breton is just trying to do the best they can to stay competitive this season. They might turn out to be really good if they do obtain Allen and Lagacé, which would make sense with the way trades have been going. Legault, who was recently traded to Cape Breton from Shawinigan, is also an important piece to their team.

well that ****ING sucks they'll regret it no way in hell Cousineau can compete with with Riopel but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccckkk were screwed but Allen to Cape Breton is interesting i hope we get this deal done and hey we could ship out berube and is Meilleur any good ?
Well at least the got themselves a goalie but allen 's WJC experience is more valuable than that memorial cup experience
