Keep your eyes on...

Jeff Deslauriers: JDD has been a key cog in the Oilers winning machine lately. In the last 4 games hes posted 4 Wins, 1.75 GAA and .947 SV%. Not bad for a rookie tender who was doubted early in the season. He's proved that he can hold the fort down until Old Man Khabi gets back.

The Blues Net: There will be Oilers pucks going into it.

Is it still legal to hope for an Oilers victory?

you might be better off hoping for a loss because i think the team has decided to do the exact opposite of what the armchair gms want

Ah, I'll take my chances hoping for a win, mixing up a pitcher full of kool-aid (grape, with the FULL cup of sugar), and watching as the team I love hopefully continues to destroy any hope of ever making the promised land by finishing last place in the league for the next 5 years.

Yup.

3 goals.

No way the opposition will get injured playing the Oilers.

In fact we'll probably get scored on in the first minute of the game and pack it in the rest of the way.

I want to keep winning please and thank you.

3-0 Oilers.

JDD with the shutout... (thats what the 0 means)

and we'll go with the hot hands...

Penner
Nilsson

and... Stortini with his second Gordie Howe hat trick in 2 games.

Whatever happens today, I just hope we don't lose because of JDD having a bad game. I like the way he has battled through and pulled himself together for this stretch, and I -really- don't want to see his confidence take a hit from a bad game. If we lose and he plays well I'll feel 100x better than if we lose and he is party to the loss.

November of 2005 if my memory serves well. That came right after the infamous 7-game losing streak.

How bout on the road, I know the 4 game one was in 1988, did we get a 5th win on that trip or is it earlier.

Wow, we had 5-game winning streaks in successive years - impressive!

Thanks for checking on that. In any case, it's been far too long since the last one. Let's do it tonight.

Not sure, but that's possible. The question then becomes, if it didn't happen during those days, has a 5-game winning streak on the road (on the same trip, too) ever happened?

nope technically in the Edmonton Sun they're calling it a 5 game road trip even tho its 6 but they say we have never swept 5 straight on a road trip ever
