This would be great. Or an IHOP would be awesome to.

domino's is excellent.. but they are more expensive. cute how they keep giving us $5 off postcard's though. the cinnastix are amazing

my pizza73 is hit or miss.. usually miss, not enough sauce and toppings never get close to the crust top.

panago is probably the new 73 in terms of price and quality. not overly expensive and very good.

pizzahut is delicious but expensive too.

BP's never been a fan, overpriced and average.

I go with dominos or panago.

What, no love for Steel Wheels? Many a time I have stumbled drunkenly into that dive and ordered the bulgogi pizza... so very, very good.

As for the "name" brands, I actually really like Pizza 73. Panago really depends on what you order. My rule for them is the more toppings the better the quality of pizza.

Just a tip for the not enough sauce comments re pizza 73. My kids like the not so basic cheese pizza so we order from there more than I would like to. Anyhow we always order extra sauce. Its free.

I've asked but they seem to always give me for dipping sauces instead of actual pizza sauce.

I always order online, and it is included in the extra toppings section, (for free) maybe you have a bad location though.

Pizza 73 wins because of its ridiculous convenience. Being a geek, ordering online is my preferred method.

And yeah, there's "extra sauce" that gives a saucier pizza on the online as well.

I worked for a Panago years ago, the owner seemed to do alright. He owned 3 of them at the time though. I don't care for their pizza and I've talked to a lot of people who can't stand it either. The name brand chain pizzas will always sell big though, no matter what.

I have a relative that owns eleven of them. I don't care for the food and it is way overpriced.

Wasn't a fan of IHOP. I like Smitty's better.

But I have only been once so it may not be a fair assessment.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ there are only 3 in Edmonton and they are all on the south side! Put one in the west end or North west and it would do some serious business. It is fairly new to Edmonton as well. that is the only pizza that I like to eat. If you have not had a take and bake from Papa Murphy's you definitely need to try one!

used to be Papadopoulous Pizza on 40th ave? I think it was and 119th right by VB. changed the name, and somehow the pizza isnt as good either. at least that's what i think.

but I normally go:
royal pizza (local I guess),
sometimes spartacus (aspen gardens/petrolia area-ish),
papadopoulous (now karaz-"something greek sounding" pizza)

franchises tho I go with:
pizza 73
pizza hut

I should have clarified what I meant.

You said that a crappy food product will lead to having the others put you out of business - or hurt your business significantly. Is said McDonald's disagrees because they are have probably the worst fast food in the world yet they always seem to have the longest lineup at the food court near where I work.

So, McDonald's proves that quality of product doesn't always have a lot to do with profitability.

Theres a place on the northside called New Way Pizza.
Wholewheat dough, fresh toppings, its awesome.

However, they dont deliver to the southside, where I now live.

I know this doesn't help with the immediate topic at hand, but I am always game for talking them up.

I used to like that place when I lived in that part of town. They had a paycheque from Sandis Ozolinsh framed on the wall and other hockey memorabilia. I could be wrong but I think there was a connection with the owner and Jay Pandolfo.
