Q&A with Zac Dalpe

Not sure if one of your moderators would like to merge this with one of your prospect threads, but I had the chance to speak with Zac Dalpe tonight about his season and what's in store in the future. He's a real nice kid, and definitely a prospect for Canes' fans to keep an eye on!

Eh, might as well have a thread on him. He's kind of the forgotten prospect around here in some ways, mainly because he hasn't gone pro yet so he is still at least a couple years away from making the team. Nice interview. A part of me hopes that he will stay at OSU for his junior year just so if I go to grad school there I will get to watch him play.

I was shocked that he said he would go pro as soon as he gets the chance. I figured he would want to stay another year at Ohio State. I have a feeling he will play with the Rats next season.

I really like chances of us signing him this offseason. I really like the idea of him and Bowman playing in Albany next season, could be one of the better lines in the AHL... assuming Bowman is down there next year again at least.

Yeah I think he'll sign after OSU's season ends and he'll get a few games with the River Rats.

They'll probably do an ATO after the OSU season and sign him in the offseason. No use burning a year of his contract on 4-5 games like the Kings did with Johnson.
