Lots of hitting, lots of Leafs icing. Is it just me or are some of these hits really late?

Not a lot of flow to the game so far. The Sens can't stop trying tough, and I don't think they will.

Boys do the Leafs look slow tonight or what?

Is #39 Spezza or Ribero? That was hardly a haymaker punch. Got the job done though, just kinda sad to see a Canadian play like that, but like Cherry said, do what you have to do at this time of the year.

I really hope the Leafs lose in the first round, so we can finally some good fast hockey. They can't do anything except dump the puck and do some forecheck, then trap and try to put the Sens to sleep.

God what I'd give for a Sens-Tampa Bay series, or even a Montreal-Ottawa series.

What planet are you from? Leafs have been one of the most entertaining, high-flying teams for the last 5 years. It's Ottawa that's trapping.

Beauty elbow/dive there by Jason. Way to earn your Sens crest.

gotta love cherry, as he continues to contradict himself...just the other day it was ok for roberts to embellish a penalty, now spezza does it and its all wrong and not part of the game etc..

Maybe the regular season Leafs, but not this year's Leafs. They are high-flying? Give me a break.

So it's Ottawa's fault that the Leafs are pressing to set the record for most icings in a period??

Lol, how many did they get anyways? 11? Pretty good when you considered they iced the puck maybe once in the first 7 minutes. It seems every Leafs' goals come at the beginning of periods, mostly the first.

Are my ears deceiving me or did Tom Fitzgerald just say that the most important thing was getting the two points tonight?

Haha it wouldn't surprise me. If I were a professional hockey player, I'd be tired too of answering stupid questions nights after nights. He was propably just lecturing his usual first-period-interview speech.

Partially. Tonight, with Sundin's absense they really simplified their game, sure. But in general, the Leafs are the wide-open high flyers, and the Sens are the trappers with skill on the counter-attack.

Yeah, really. I don't see why it's so hard to get something going..if nothing works, just let Alfy blast it and hope for the best instead of continually passing.

Btw...we're lucky the refs are smart tonight. Could've easily been a 5 on 3 when we were PKing and a Leaf player dove looking for the extra penalty. Also..I somehow doubt Spezza could ram Domi into the boards like that...seems the Leafs have been diving/embellishing a lot tonight. It's definately gonna be a 1 goal game tho.

Seems like Spezza is the only one diving.

Seriously, when did all these dives and embelishments happen?

Man oh man..by the pace of this game, I wouldn't be suprised if the next goal wins...Even though it's painful to watch, the leaf's stragety is working so far...

Bondra missed a glorious chance..

I know the Leafs are tightened up defensively some, but I'm surprised you guys are playing such a scared game. You look almost as frightened as Leafs are of giving up the first (which may well be the last) goal. You guys clearly have a manpower advantage tonight and I'm glad you aren't yet exploiting it.

because the refs were calling EVERYTHING early on in the playoffs, thats one of the downsides to the crackdowns, whenever they happen, the players know there looking for certain calls, so those get embellished.

I realise this, but it is not what I asked. Sting004 said the leafs have been diving a lot, so I asked for some examples, because I am sure I would have at least seen 1 considering there are so many (according to him at least) .

Don't like how the Sens are playing at all. Defensively they're fine, Leaf chances are few and far inbetween. But offensively, they aren't doing too much.

First goal's going to win and the way the Sens are playing, I don't think they're going to get it. They should be exploiting the fact that Sundin is out. They did that in the 1st period, but nothing since then.

I don't know how it's possible, but their PP is getting sadder by the minute. You really see the value in a defenseman like Leetch leading a rush.

Like others, I have a bad feeling...

What a nail-biter!

I think this game is going to take 5 years off of my life.

Leafs can't score for themselves, so they've got to get us to do it for them.
