jack campbell probably goes in the 2nd or 3rd round given his age. I'd love to get him, but i might be wishful thinking by saying 2nd or 3rd... He could easily squeak into the late 1st round

He is more likely to be a 1st rounder than a 3rd rounder. He'll go in the 1st or early 2nd.

They need to acquire another dman. Pronger and Kimmo are fine obviously. Carle is ok. Coburn has regressed badly. Parent is injury prone and he hasnít exactly played all that well. OKT is a #7 dman. Bartulis is playing like a rookie and seems to be over his head at times. Always seems to be on the ice when the other team scores. He may not be ready right now. Syvret has looked better in his second stint but is still not an everyday nhl dman imo. This d as constructed doesn t look so good right now. They need to shore up the bottom pair which I think they can do as it is a huge hole imo. Everyone keeps waiting for coburn to turn it around yet I dont see any signs that he will right now. After the top 3, the bottom 3 are a very weak link. Havent seen him play but I wonder if matthew schniedier would be a good stop gap move for the rest of the year? exelby or white from toronto?

Matthew Schniedier in his own zone would make Coburn and OKT look amazing. He's not a stop gap.

We can't get Schneider, too expensive.

His D partners keep changing. Not an excuse for poor play necessarily, but young players thrive on some sort of stability.

Mathieu Schneider was awful this year; it's time to hang 'em up, but he hasn't figured it out yet... so he's wallowing away in the AHL at the moment.

They could use another dman, but I wouldnt go with an expensive one....They need a steady #4/#5 stay at home guy.

I really wish someone could figure out what the hell is wrong with Coburn. Did Stevens screw him up that much????

The rookie wall! I am sure they will make a deadline acquisition for the 3rd pairing at least and push him to #7 or deeper for the playoffs. We are set 1-3 with Timonen, Pronger and Carle....Coburn really should be #4 and Parent #5....That is where our issue is, their lack of development is really hurting this team right now! Its amazing that we had a coach that was SO GREAT for young players for several years, however, none that are not named Carter or Richards developed! Hmmmm

well knowing how we get injured and considering that all Pens, NYR and Devils will try to get better around dead line.

Pens probably go for size up front and maybe d-men.
NYR will probably get scoring, same goes for NJD. NYR will try to add some d-men too, that D is crap and Henrcick can not do it all by him self.

That top 5 you are talking about will turn into top 4 real fast especially if Coburn continues to play like he is and Carle continues not to PK and play soft game. and who knows how Emery is going to play 2 month from now. It's not like he is Brodeur and we know exactly what we will get from him.

I mean it would be nice if someone was coaching Coburn for the past few years. That guy is a scout now.

Our 3rd pair is good enough IMO, if we make a move it should be for a #4 or else it isn't worth it

Do not trade OKT, he's actually our best 6th. He defends well and he's tough, that's all you can ask from a 3rd pairing guy.

Not to mention the trouble he causes in the dressing room. The Canucks are the second team that's had issues with him and I don't want him anywhere near the Flyers.

okt looked rusty as hell but im hoping as he plays a little more hell improve. he hasnt been the reliable presence i wanted with all the injuries but theres noting you can do about that. guys who play rough get hurt. were aproaching the part of the year where what he brings is important and his shaking the dust off and kicking some ass would be appreciated. if he cant or if his bad luck continues i would look into sydor. he skates like molasses but i think he makes up for it with veteran savvy and ornery disposition
