Fox Sports Midwest will televise the pre-game ceremony live from Scottrade Center. The 30-minute special begins at 7 p.m. and will feature live coverage of the ceremony followed by an interview from Hull. The special will also be streamed on FOXSportsMidwest.com. Tuesday's game will not be available on local television.
In New Mexico I have the away feed listed on my Center Ice schedule. In the past these have occasionally been blacked out, and other times have been broadcast. I'm going to hope for the best and see what happens. (Its not in HD, and traditionally the Canadian feeds have been awful.)
The Blues winning and being a playoff caliber team would be the cure for most of these problems. But unfortunately, they're taking a big step back, so FSN, Dish, VS, have less and less incentive to fight for these broadcasts one way or another.
Well, I talked a big game in another thread about not going downtown to watch the team until they play better...but a friend invited me to go and it's a special night. So, I'll be there to honor Hull and I'll be praying that this team shows some life!
I find myself with mixed feelings. I think Murray may be on the cusp of being fired. I've almost gotten to the point where I hope they lose just to get it over with. If I thought there was a great replacement in the wings, I'd be more enthusiastic.
But I'm starting to doubt whether they can turn it around without some kind of shake up. Its hard to believe after that promising start of getting 2 wins off the Red Wings in Sweden, the Blues are last in the conference. I realize the West is tough, and there really aren't any poor teams, but no one can tell me they're not under-performing (even accounting for young struggles, sophomore slumps, and the relatively few injuries we've endured this season).
I keep thinking the "next game" is going to be the start of tuning things around. Perhaps tonight is the night.
