If we trade Filatov and decide to stick with Hitchcock and miss the playoffs, i will have very little interest in this team anymore.

Short of a Kaberle type player for Filatov (not saying straight up) is a worthless trade for the talent he has.

Apparently nobody in NHL management ever talks to anybody about anything....

Quote:
Ottawa Senators GM Bryan Murray was quick to shoot down rumours on Thursday that he was in talks with the Columbus Blue Jackets to move young defenceman Brian Lee for blue chip prospect Nikita Filatov.

"Filatov is in Russia playing in the KHL," Murray said. "He's not going to be available this year - he has a contract over there - so it wouldn't make a lot of sense for me to give up Brian Lee and hope this young man would come back from Russia one day.

"I have never talked to Columbus about Brian Lee."

Wow... apparently the price for Filatov is on the way down... The rest of the NHL has realized how hard getting him back from Russia will be... Why is our organization the only one that thinks this will be a cakewalk?
