I expect this one to be more of a grinding type of game. Sharks win this one 3-2

We should be good tonight. The only reason we lost the last game is because The Space Shark was mad at me for messing up the times and mistakenly putting "Stars > Sharks" instead of "Stars < Sharks" before I changed it. But He showed that He is a merciful Space Shark by giving us that OTL point.

He's been very kind w/ the OTL points lately. How about the full 2, eh?

Over the past 10 games or so, the team has been skating less and less and not doing a good job at all in recovery and exit plays. Centers are now coming back to support the exit that last year was handled with a forward nearer the half wall or a defenseman skating with the puck. Some players are getting to the dump in, but the support player too often is not and the puck is out of the zone before control can be established. Bottom line, guys like Heatley need to up their game and there are going to have to be some line changes. Seto needs to be on the first line again because his speed is needed. Heatley can work with Clowe and Pavs and get his shots, and both can support his weak defensive play.

Phoenix should be a win for this team, but they are playing well and our Sharks are not. I am predicting a Coyote win with a 4-3 score and goals by Seto, Marleau, and Clowe. Not a SNOG however. I don't think anyone should win when the team loses.

No way. The second line is the slowest on our entire roster. They are not going to be able make anything happen 5 on 5. Either have a Marleau - Pavelski - Heatley line, or go back to the Burger Line.

i'm guessing the sharks lose, just because i put vcash down on this game, and every time i've put some down on the sharks to win, they end up losing.

Love the SHAAAAAARKS logo.

Prediction:

Sharks win 2-1...

...in shootout...

...but play so poorly no one cares.

Bake's Takes from PHX

It's a showdown between two netminders seeking to earn the first start for Team Russia in Vancouver. They're in Phoenix, watching - so Bryz and Nabby are sure to put on a show. I expect this one to end 1-0, 2-0 (EN).

Coyotes 2

First Period: Sharks skate
Second: Float
Third: Skate, take lead then float.

Snog

Sharks rebound a bit and actually play solid D even if it hurts their offense. Sharks 3 - Yotes 1 (Heatley, Patty, Boyle; Upshall)

Just kidding about the Team Russia showdown

Hahn: Greetings from Phoenix where Thomas Greiss will start in goal tonight against the Desert Dogs and Douglas Murray will take the pregame warmup and be a gametime decision.

(Yeah, I haven't been paying attention)
