I'm just wondering what BBO sacrificed on his Sugartits shrine after the goal.

I've got no time for that now. I think I may have found Montoya after all these years.

I'm kind of surprised by how much love there is for Schremp here. It's really hard for me to respect a guy who gets a giant tattoo of his own initials on his back and then poses for a picture shirtless and flexing. It just screams "I'm a low-IQ egomaniac jock d-bag" to me.

It's one thing to root for a prospect. It's another to realize that, after some time, it's best to move on to something else.

We're not just talking about cheering for a player though. We're talking about building a player up so much beyond what the player is actually capable of providing.

People don't rave about Geoff Paukovich, or even Alexei Mikhnov.

And surely you can realize that it got so bad that people started to get on Schremp's case not because of Rob Schremp, but rather in spite of the exceptionally rabid fans that built him up and made every excuse in the book for him.

I'm interested to see what he can do. And he's an Oilers prospect so I'm rooting for him. But until he plays in the NHL, he's a question mark.

Robbie looked good vs Boston,he had good energy and was around the puck last night, and the goal he scored was a PP Goal because of his hustle and because he positioned himself to make a play which he did! Congrats to Robbie

He was talking about Omark, not Schremp.

And Omark is not a youtube sensation, he's been putting up a ton of points in the last two years, and we happen to get highlights of all those points. Schremp's youtube thing was the lacrosse goals. Mikhnov had one video where he looked good, but nothing else. Omark is not comparable to the two.

Good for Robbie!

Man that is one happy guy. And his team mates were just as happy. Good to see.

Schremp hasn't produced nearly what Comrie did. Comrie has 5 times the amount of goals in a season plagued by H1N1 and mono than Schremp has in his career. Comrie is also a former two-time 30+ goal scorer. Schremp? Can't even hit that in the AHL. Schremp has no place here, especially if Nilsson is sitting in the press box when we have a healthy lineup. Nilsson is simply much better than Schremp.

Yeah, his 1 NHL goal every 4 years should serve to shut a lot of the haters up.

Schremp racked up the points in Jr and the AHL (not as much recently) too. I know Omark has been playing in leagues a step above that (SEL and KHL) where he got his points. But only the NHL is comparable to the NHL.

Back on topic, happy for Schremp getting his first G. Hopefully he goes on to have a good NHL career.

Above is how it lead up to the post that you quoted, Comrie has proven to be better to this point as has Nilsson (since his return from concussion, but not a moment sooner this season). It's all irrelevant, he is no longer an Oiler and was let loose in favor of other options. This after someone decided to make a wise ass comment about McDonald scoring before Schremp.

Exactly. Rob Schremp had NO place on this team, regardless of the Comrie signing.

I'll agree to disagree, that said I wouldn't want him over Jacques or Stone that's for sure.
